Hello friends! I thought I’d do something a bit different today. I’m going to tell you what my sisters and my brother are really like. You know, like a nice clean litter box, I’m going to give you the real scoop.
Let’s start with my sisters…
Sascha is the real Princess of the household, and she knows it too. Sascha has gotten more and more social in the last few years, and she really is very social when it comes to treat time and play time. We have downstairs play time at 9PM every evening and Sascha is usually right there with the crew. Sascha is a gal who loves her treats. We all get treats after evening play time and we each have our appointed spot where we eat our treats. Sascha is almost always the first in her spot to wait to be served. Does the Princess get served first? Nope, Sister Gracie is always first on the treat serving list. Most of you know that Sascha recently got a lion cut. Trust me, she is a much happier Princess when those evil mats aren’t pulling on her skin. Sascha’s favorite thing in the world is nap time with Dad on the big bed.
Gracie, as I said, gets her treats served first. You know why? Because she is the most vocal of us. Yep, she is loud and insistent while Dad is preparing our evening treats. You may remember that Gracie was attacked by a dog when she was a kitten and she had to have some surgery. So, she really doesn’t like to be picked up since it is uncomfortable for her. Sister Gracie is somewhat of a Daddy’s Girl. When Daddy is home she doesn’t like him to be out of her sight. Every evening Dad spends a good bit of time upstairs with Sister Precious and it is more common than not that Gracie is at the bottom of the steps yelling for Dad to get his butt back down stairs. Oh, and Gracie does a purrfect beaver imitation. Really! She sits up on her hind legs and cleans her tummy. Gracie’s favorite thing is food, and I’m not saying that to be mean, she just loves to eat.
What about Sister Dolly? Dolly and I are always battling to be first to be brushed and first to get fresh bites out of the bathroom bonus bowl. She usually wins but only because I let her. I told you that Gracie gets her treats served first, but Sister Dolly gets served first at meal time. We each have our designated spots where each of us eat our breakfast and dinner and as soon as Dad has it prepared we each go to our spots and wait to be served. Dolly gets her food first because she is the only one of us that would go horn in on one of our bowls. It’s just easier to serve her first. Sister Dolly has a very quiet meow. However, put her in the car to go to the Vet and she can shout it out better than any of us. If I had to pick one thing that Sister Dolly loves best it would be the brush, she is a brush hog fur sure. Her second favorite thing is being carried around by Mom.
Sister Precious lives upstairs because she doesn’t like us. Well, she really doesn’t like other cats. When she came her to live she was seven years old and we were told it was likely that she had never seen another cat before. Can you imagine what a surprise we were to her??? She has gotten calmer and usually lays on the landing and watches us. I confess, I do like to mess with her a bit and I will lay on the step right below the lower gate. When she finally spots me she comes charging down the stairs and slams into the gate. Of course I run because I don’t want to hurt her feelings after she goes to all that effort. We keep telling her that she can come down and join the rest of us as soon as she gets her polite on. But that girl does love her cardboard, and she loves to rip it to shreads. Her favorite thing is the whole wide world is a cardboard Maxx Snail Scratcher…a great big scratcher in the shape of a Snail. She goes through one of those each week and has plenty of fun doing it too. Give her any cardboard box and you won’t recognize it is a couple of days.
Kit is the newest one of my sisters and she came to live with us when our Grandma went to heaven. Sister Kit is quite a talker too, she talks lots, but she isn’t quite as loud as Sister Gracie. Since Sister Kit lived at an assisted living place with our Grandma, she isn’t quite as spooked by loud noises as some of the rest of us. There was always someone coming and going and she tells us the honking fire alarm during fire drills was some big loud noise. Sister Kit is somewhat of a picky eater and she doesn’t always like the menu choice (most of us get something a bit different). One thing is pretty constant with her though, she usually likes whatever Sister Sascha is having. If Kit doesn’t like her meal she will go sit patiently and wait for Sister Sascha to be finished. Kit will then go clean up whatever Sister Sascha didn’t finish. It must be one of those “the grass is always greener” type of things. One of Sister Kit’s favorite things is sleeping with Mom in the big bed. She likes to snuggle right in. The colder the temps outside the tighter the snuggle.
Okay, that brings us to Brother Brian. What can I tell you about Brian? Yes, he really is that nice. Oh, he can be a real pain to us girls at times, buy Mom tells me that’s just a guy thing. Don’t tell Brian I told you, but he can be a bit of a weenie. Seriously! He didn’t used to be that way. If someone rang the doorbell and the peeps let them in, Brian was always there to be the official greeter. All that changed when the roofing humans came a few years ago and they spent lot of time banging around on the roof. Now, if someone comes to the door Brian feels it is his duty to go under the bed and protect the dust bunnies. We all pick on him a bit since he is the only boy, but it is all done in the spirit of fun, mostly. Brian is most kind though. He would give up his food or treats if we wanted them, that’s just the way he is. If one of us ladies leaves something uncovered in the litter box he will go in and cover it up for us. While Brian loves to be brushed too, probably his favorite thing is window whiffies. Poor guy. Our window whiffies have be curtailed due to Gracie’s asthma problems. Even though the whiffies are Brian’s favorite thing, he never ever complains that it’s not happening on a regular basis.
So, they you have it, that’s what it is like with my feline family and I wouldn’t change any of it. Well, maybe a few things. They really are a good bunch. Have a fun weekend everyone! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I loved hearing about everyone in your family, Zoe!
Wow! That is such a great post. Now who’s going to tell us ALL ABOUT ZOE????
Purrs,
The Chans
Lovely to read all about the crew. We are chuckling over the bathroom bonus bowl. BOL BOL Brian protecting the dust bunnies. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Wow that’s interesting. I hope it isn’t bring for sister Precious to live upstairs. Maybe she would like to live with me?After all your pawrents do so much things to make all of you happy, isn’t that great? Have a super caturday and a fabulous Easter feast.
Such a lovely cat biography. Our boys are scary cats like Brian. The ups doorbell ring several times a week sends them scurrying!
That was such fun reading all about all of you. Sounds like you are all organized. Wish this crew would be a little better organized . You all sound very polite. Now don’t make fun of your Brother, Brian. He can’t help being a little afraid.
We have the ark all ready. Hope you have a great and dry day. Happy Easter too.
Sounds like a very purrfect little family to us!
I love this… getting all the low down on my favorite felines!
Thank you for telling us all about your fursibs, Zoe. We really enjoyed getting to know more about them all. Maybe one of them will tell us more about you, too?
Purrs,
Carmine, Milita, and Jewel
Thank you so much for the great information! Our Gracie doesn’t like to be picked up, either. That is probably because her frequent eye infections when she was younger meant that we had to pick her up to give her eye drops. Both of our kitties are vocal, especially our Gracie, and both of them love window whiffies.
What a great report. We love learning more about our friends. We hope you have a good weekend and Happy Easter.
We loved learning all those things about all of you. It made Mommy laugh loud when she read about Brian and the uncovered stuff in the litter box. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
It’s pawesome to hear the real scoop on everyone. Who is going to dish on you, Zoe?
We loved getting to know you all better – you come from a big mulit-family like we do and there is always something going on! Purrs from the Zee and Zoey Gang!
We just loved reading about all of you. We think you are an amazing family anyway and admire your humans for all the work they do with rescues. You all seem to get along so well too. M was chuckling over how your mealtime is served and wonders how your humans trained everyone to go to a certain spot.
So cool to find out more about you all. Happy Easter from all of us!
Whoa!! What a wonderful post Zoe! I learned lots about life in your house.
haha wow that is nice of him, even covering up crap that isn’t his haha you each have your own personality indeed
We think you are amazing Brian putting up with all those sisters and bet you’d like a little mancat chat once in a while! Happy Easter to you all.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
This was sooooooooooo much fun!!!! Mom and I laughed about Sister Gracie just loving her food so much (sounds like my Mom!!!) and Brian protecting the dust bunnies!! Oh and Sister Precious needing to “gets her polite on” cracked us up! My Mom needs to get HER “polite on!”
Zoe you did a purrfect job of giving us the low down on everyone. My sisfur Boo really would like to be an only cat like Precious, but Mom says she’s just gonna have to deal with everyone. But Mom knows she really wants to be an only kitty.
WTG Gracie the squeaky wheel always gets oiled first. Mom says I, Madi, was more vocal the first day I came to live here than the entier 14.5 years Milky-way lived here.
Of course I told her girls rule, boys drool.
Brian has to be a kind soul with a big heart to live will all sisters.
Hugs madi your bfff

Oh that was a FUN post! The inside scoop on the whole gang…..life in your house must be “never a dull moment” !!!!
Hugs, Sammy
That is quite a bunch and tough to wrap my paws around in one post but I will try. Luckily I only have two of your kind to worry about and keep straight!
That’s quite the scoop. Aw, about Brian hiding under the bed. He’s a sweetie to let the gals rule the roost.
Whoa, Zoe! That was some report. I love gossip. Truth be told, I used to greet everyone at the door too until they came to clean our air ducks. They made such a racket. Now I go UTB if I even hear loud noises in the hall.
Hello Zoe and family, we are Whipple and Pepper, and we are pleased to meet you and your family. We liked reading the scoop on each of your siblings and will learn more about you all over time. Happy weekend. – Whipple and pepper
We really enjoyed finding out more about each of you and your varied personalities. Mom says she likes cats best ’cause we each have our own unique personalities, unlike dogs. We also have the nice cats, the scaredy cats, the loud cats, the food-thief cats, the UTB cats, etc. We girls would just like to say that we wish Mauricio were as kind and gentle as Brian. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes for a blessed Easter, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
