Thankful Thursday: We Have Two Happies and One Sad Today

Well, I know we shouldn’t have a sad on Thankful Thursday, but we do.  Most of you likely remember me sharing pictures of our two resident feral kitties, one girl tortie and a boy tabby.  Sadly, our sweet tortie girl has been missing since March 19th when Dad saw her heading into the woods.  We slowly realized that we weren’t going to see her again, and that makes us very sad.  Her poor brother is heartbroken and just sits and stares at the woods.  We will love her always.

But today, we are so very thankful that our tabby boy is still here with us.  He is very feral but doesn’t run when Dad takes out his food.

Tabby Boy

We are doing the best we can for him and we always will, as long as he remains with us. He does use the feral house to keep warm and dry and he sleeps in it at night.

Now for another happy, which kind of came out of the blue.  Put on your thinking cap. Do you remember this picture?

Tiny Tim
This is Tiny Tim, and we original blogged about needing a Christmas Miracle for him HERE.  I knew that Tiny Tim was going to be adopted, but that was during the time when 5 of us were so sick and Sister Gracie was in the hospital.  We kind of lost track of what happened to Tiny Tim.

Well, this is what happened…

Photo from Chewie's Facebook Page

Photo from Chewie’s Facebook Page

I had a message on our ForeverHomeWanted.com Facebook page that read “Hi I’m Chewie. I was Tiny Tim on your blog in Nov. You help me find forever home! I so grateful.  Now u can see me and my friends on fb!”

It is so wonderful to be able to keep up with the kitties we’ve helped and we just love seeing them with their happy on.  If you’re on Facebook, please go like their Page and give Chewy a howdy.  You can find Chewie and his family here: Catnipocalypse.

So, at least two happies out ranks a sad.  If you have something you are thankful for, please join us for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

The good news is really wonderful. We’re sorry about the little girl but sadly, not every story has a happy end, however hard we try.

That is so exciting about Tiny Tim or Chewie. We are so glad that he found a nice home.
Now, do not give up just yet on your Tortie Feral Girl. We had a cat go off from here and 3 months later, she came back. I think sometimes they get shut up by mistake. Also these cats cat survive on the wild life. I know what it is like though to have one leave. We lost one not too long ago.
Take care.

We has our paws crossed the girl tortie is OK and has just found a new home. We knows how sad it is when they just disappear and you really never know what happened.

Love your happy news about Tiny Tim, we are going to see him on FB. He looked very happy under the tree.

We agree that those happys are really great. Your Tabby boy has a very nice coat. Handsome. Dad has been looking for one of our outsiders for over a month also. Our Tabby lady still comes for chow but the little black visitor has been missing since last year. Dad turned the outside camera off last week and was sad.
So it goes in the wild
We are so lucky to have our homes my furend

Don’t give up on tortie girl just yet! One of the feral girls Mom use to feed at work was missing for six weeks and one day she just reappeared at the food bowl like she’d been there the day before.

Wonderful news about Chewie!

So wonderful to see Chewy’s FB page! That’s sad about the feral girl disappearing. I remember when my parents’ beloved tabby just disappeared one day. Whenever I visited them after that, I was always scanning the woods and fields, hoping he would emerge.

That is so cool about Tiny Tim, er Chewy! I’m sorry about your feral girl. None of the Park Cats were there today. TW worries that they’ll get chased or worse now that the weather is nice and the kids will take over the park.

Layla Morgan Wilde (Cat Wisdom 101)

It’s always sad seeing ferals fight so hard to survive at many odds. I’ve seen so many over the years come and go. It’s a helpless feeling but we can only do so muchand then let go. Tabby feral is gorgeous and looks healthy. The news of Tiny Tim gives us all hope about our humanity.

Your happys are super happy, so that is great. We feel the pain for the missing kitty as we all still wonder where our kitty Tom went the night he never came home. Not knowing is rough.

Diane@BibliophilebytheSea

So sorry your tortie feral has disappeared, we do feel sorry for her brother, but so happy he has nice people like you to help him through this. About 6 years ago we lost one of our cats to the woods and the others no longer wanted to go outside. Happy to have all indoor cats now.

Can’t wait for Precious’s big day tomorrow.

Hi Brian, really sorry about your feral kitteh-sib going back into the woods. I’ve known cats who’ve been gone a long time and then come back again. Please know you can always post sad things on our blog hop. If it’s important to you, then its important to us.
I gasped when I saw the injured kittehs transformation. BRILLIANT! It doesn’t get any better than that.
