Fleas, let’s talk about fleas for just a minute. As you might recall, “flea” was the only positive from Zoe’s serum allergy test, so Zoe started on her flea pills this past week. Zoe is taking a flea pill called Comfortis since the Vet said that a topical wouldn’t be as good in this situation. No problems from Zoe, she always takes her pills like a real champ. In the meantime, Zoe still has 2 more days of her prednisone and then she will have 1 pill every other day for 2 weeks, then she will be all done with that one. By the way, Sister Zoe seems to be doing pretty darn good, no itching, licking or pulling out of the furs.
So, the Derm Vet said the rest of us needed flea treatments as well and the Dad opted for Advantage II. We all were really cooperative and actually we didn’t mind it at all. However, one of us had a negative reaction to the flea meds, and that would be Sister Precious. She was throwing up her foods and was pretty lathargic for a couple of days. Fortunately the yuckies passed quickly and she seems normal again, well, normal for her that is MOL!
Anyways, how do you like those claws in my pic today? I thought I’d show some claws because it rhymes with PAWS, as in PAWS of CT. Why the rhyme?
Well, as most of you know, somehow our other blog, ForeverHomeWanted.com is a Petties finalist in the Best Rescue/Cause Blog category.
