This is a little older photo, but I thought it was very appropriate for our post today. You see, we’ve been asked to purrticipate in My Writing Process Tour #mywritingprocesstour by our good friend Nerissa from Nerissa’s Life. Nerissa is such a cool dude and such a talented writer, so doing anything with him is always fun. Nerissa is also a finalist for a Pettie Award in the Funniest Blog or Blogger category and a previous winner of the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Award for Best Blog Writing.
Anyways, back to the tour, and there are rules, and some questions. Of course my favorite question is what are rules? Rule number one says I’m supposed to link back to the writer who tagged me for this tour. I’ve already got that one covered.
Rule number two says I have three questions to answer, so we’ll jump right it:
1) What am I working on?
We are always working on something to promote adoption, one way or the other. By the way, did we mention we have some happy news? Seriously though, right now we’re trying to get a wee bit more organized so that we can change some things up on Brian’s Home. We will go for a while on a standard lineup, like Womancat Wednesday, Thankful Thursday and T.G.I.F., and then we like to change directions a bit. One of those change direction times might just be coming up.
2) Why do I write what I do?
Adoption is so very important to all of us here so we always try to leave a hint of adoption in all of our paw tracks. Okay, I know, sometimes we just smack you right in the face with a really heartbreaking story. When we do smack you in the face with something serious, y’all always respond in overwhelming numbers. We also hope to show the joys of a multi-feline household. Our peeps have always had a cat, maybe two, but look at us now, there are seven of us. Oh, did I mention that we have some happy news?
3) How does my writing process work?
Actually, that’s the reason we opted to use a photo from the recent past. This is actually how our writing process works. You’ve heard the saying that every picture tells a story, and we really think that is true. Our Mom provides the photos of us, my Dad does my writing, and I provide the inspiration. We hope by seeing our photos and hearing our stories that you will actually feel like you know us and our personalities. We usually do our weekly writing on Sunday so that the entire week is written and ready to go. That leaves us more time for rescue work and for visiting our blogging friends. I did mention that we have some happy news didn’t I?
Rule number three says I need to pass this on to three other writers. Again, I ask, what are rules? Lots of my pals have already done the writing tour, but there was really one I wanted to participate. That would be Mom Emily, Delilah, Sampson, Sophie, Sassy, and Caster from Kitty Cat Chronicles. I wasn’t the only to ask them, and they are such a talented bunch. The Kitty Cat Chronicles are also Pettie Finalists in the Best Video Post category. Surely you are following their blog. If not, you’re missing out on a fun place to visit.
I know, I know, you’re thinking what happy news? Scroll back up to the top, go ahead, I’ll wait. Okay, what was missing from the top of this blog post? The missing part is the Adopt Scuttles button with the link to her information. Why is that missing from our post? Did I mention we have some happy news?
Let’s all have a community happy dance because Scuttles has been adopted! Crystal will be flying Scuttles to her new home in Philadelphia on September 12th. Thanks to everyone who shared this dear girl. You made it all possible.

TBT likes ta write. 1) What am I working on? Prehistoric “Just So” stories. 2) Why do I write what I do? Different than the usual short story. 3) How does my writing process work? All at once and nothing first. An odd idea comes to him, and he pounds it out for hours, writing, backtracking, changing. He never really knows the end until he get there. And he is often surprised. His best sentence is “She stepped out into the light of the cave fires, and died”. He does that stuff and then collapses into bed where we snuggle… Read more »
