Thankful Thursday: Being a Petties Finalist Was Quite an Honor

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!

Petties_2014_Cause Blog Finalist Badge

We really were quite surprised when our Blog became a Petties Finalist in the Best Rescue/Cause Blog Category.  Voting has now closed and we want to thank all of you for the kind words and support.  We really do appreciate all of you.

Each of the Pettie Categories has some amazing finalists and we just hate all of the confusion this year.  It’s important to realize that all of the nominees and all of the finalists are winners.  Each and every blog post on each and every blog is done with thoughtfulness and care, and it is always a joy to discover the passion of others.  We particularly enjoy discovering new blogs and watching them mature and grow as they discover their voice.

Thanks everyone for supporting us in the many challenges we take on and we truly could not do it without you.  Now, let’s all get busy and see if we can help another pet find their happy home.  As our tagline says…Rescue, Adopt, Love, Repeat!

Now for a quick update on Sister Zoe: She went to the Derm Vet yesterday. The Vet feels that she is making progress and said that her medicine, Atopica, often takes 4-8 weeks to really kick in. Zoe will still be on prednisone every other day for two more weeks. Although Zoe is pulling out some fur, the episodes are minimizing and the fur loss is less. The Vet says she sees some of Zoe’s fur growing back. She will go for another recheck in September.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Wait, there is ONE more day to vote in the Petties – and one more chance to vote for your rescue blog!

Paws crossed that the vet is right, and Zoe continues to improve.

  2. Ann Staub

Can still vote today too! I’ll be casting one last vote for you guys. Good luck! You are right though, whoever wins it’s still a win for the rescues that get the money and the animals in need. It’s my first time and it was lots of fun and quite an honor. Keep up the good healing work Zoe!

We’ve voted for you every day and so hope you will win with your Furever Home Wanted. Thank goodness Zoe is not pulling her lovely furs out as much as she has been.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  4. Marg

We sure hope you win that Pettie so your rescue can get that money. But like you said which is purrfect, that no matter what, some rescue is going to get the money.
Glad Zoe is a tiny bit better. Hopefully the medicine will work in the end. Have a great Thursday.

We’re really happy with the good vet report for Sister Zoe. We hope the fur pulling episodes will continue to decrease and she’ll soon be in her full coat again.

It would be lovely to see you win! We rather suspect you do far more privately, behind the scenes, than many of us realize.

Good news that the vet believes Zoe to be improving. Continued purrs to her.
