Adopt Tigger ADOPT TIGGER

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!

Today is a special day throughout the world.  It is a day we pause to remember orphan pets everywhere through the Remember Me Thursday Campaign.  We, as you know, are the lucky ones and so very many never make it.

Here is what their wonderful website has to say…

“Remember Me Thursday™ is a worldwide coalition of pet adoption organizations, celebrities and people like you, who raise awareness about the plight of millions of orphan pets around the world waiting for forever homes.

By lighting a candle on Remember Me Thursday, September 25, 2014, you are remembering those pets who have lost their lives but you are also shining a light on orphan pets in need of homes right now.

While we all may feel that we help so many, unfortunately the numbers who do not make it are staggering.  You can click on the link above to go to the website and light a candle, and we will always remember the unfortunate ones in our hearts.  I am so very thankful that there is a worldwide effort to call attention to the special ones who need our voice each and every day.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

we remember too… It breaks my heart to know how close Lucy was to being one of the unfortunate ones – she was rescued from a kill shelter at 3 days old

We think about those unfortunate and not so lucky and salute those that try so hard to help our furends in need. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly

This light a candle idea is terrific. We went and did light one. It is just way too sad how many animals are put to sleep in the shelters.
You all have a great Thursday.

Brian, we read your post. Stopped. Went to get a candle and now we are sitting here typing with the flame burning cozy cinnamon sugar on the desk. Thank you for reminding us because you can imagine who we are remembering!

Thanks for letting us know about this. Wish we had known before coming to your blog. We lit a candle and included a photo of our sweet honorary sisfur, Swizzle, who needs a home. We have nominated y’all for an award. You can pick it up on our Thankful Thursday Melange post. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Thanks for posting this, Brian. It is indeed so very sad. There are way too many. Yes, it is very good that there is a worldwide effort to call attention to these dear ones who need our voice.

our candle was lit for barry, snow, turtle and gray; and all their feral friends..it was the least we could do, to give them a name ♥

I lighted a candle and all those who are nameless but not forgotten are in my thoughts today.

We remember those less fortunate than us. Mom’s first three kitties were adopted from a kill shelter.

We always think about those who are in shelters and those that are waiting to be in a shelter out of the elements. It is hard wishing for all to have true homes.

What a great post pal. We sure hope both of those kitties find forever homes like ours pals. We are so lucky. M said she was sorry she didn’t know about the special day today or she would have participated. Maybe next year she’ll be on the ball.

Since mom volunteers for a rescue, she is so aware of this every single day. We remember! I am one of the lucky ones too.

A wonderful message. We really are fortunate. It’s so sad that there are so many furries out there who aren’t as lucky. We light a candle for them and those who are still searching for their home. Thank you for the reminder.

Sometimes, Cats Herd You

We know that we are lucky cats to have a home with plentiful food and lots of love, and we’ll always remember the cats who didn’t have the benefit of those things in their lives and ended up in shelters instead.

I lit my candle yesterday although I’m upset I didn’t know about this in time to post about it. Last year I was all over it. I did post on FB enough about it. TW hasn’t seen the kittens on the street lately and is hoping her friend Eddie did the right thing and brought them inside.
