I must say, Sister Sascha sure knows how to do an Easy. She is also very good at doing her Easy almost anywhere. Today, she is on the back of the couch by her Peggy Blankie so we can all join her.

Sister Sascha is also very quick with the paw too. Here is her selfie that she captured and you can see her paw coming back from punching the camera button.

Sascha, you are a gorgeous girl. I remember my sister Sammi was pretty quick with her smacky paw, but you had to be lightening fast with your paw to get it in your selfie.

Sascha, you really are a very good doing the easy on Sunday… What a purrfect photo shot of you too! Maybe you should pose for Easy Cat Magazine… well if there was one.

Dearest Brian and Terry, thanks for stopping by to see the new kittens photo…All three kittens are now captured! They are doing really well being handled for the first time. Hope you can capture your kittens, too.

When capturing kittens and cats, I use a big metal kennel cage… Sometimes catching the kitty mom too that way. You can get metal kennel cages at Walmart. I put food inside the kennel cage and when all the kittens go inside to eat, I close the door on them…. remotely by pulling a rope that is tied to the door. The rope is fixed so that it goes through the cage and out the back at an angle. I always check that the angle is right for the door to close and there aren’t any obstructions. Then I hide behind something and wait for all the kittens to go inside… Once inside, I closes the door and all the kittens are caught!

The kennel is large enough for kittens to stay in, but hard to get them socialized that way. So I like to put a small open carrier inside the cage at the back. Usually the kittens will be frightened and will run into the carrier. Then the carrier door can be closed and the kittens can be carried to an enclosed area, like a porch or inside, like a bathroom. This system eliminates the trauma of the loud snapping noises of using a kitten or cat trap.

Let me know if you would like to try this idea and I can send you a photo of the kennel and how the rope is attached.

    Purrz from Katie.
