REPOSTING FROM: ForeverHomeWanted.com
Crystal, remember Crystal? Crystal is Scuttles savior. Crystal has bee doing a huge trapping project at a trailer park in Taylors, SC. J-Lo really is a beautiful girl. J-Lo weights all of 4 pounds and she is approximately 10-11 months old. We need to pay her medical bills and get her a home quickly or she will be put back outside.
There are more photos on her fundraising page. Check out those big paws!
Crystal came across an enormously sweet kitty with a prolapsed rectum. Dr. Cunningham at Frasier Animal Hospital put it back this week with a pursestring but then she became constipated and could not eat or drink. He has taken it out but she is in critical care right now at his clinic. She is a gorgous tortie with outstanding markings and as sweet as can be. She is a full grown female and weighs in at almost 4 pounds. She had hookworms, which was what had caused this he believes, and the emaciation. It will take another surgery or a major one to try and fix her rectum because it was out for such a long time and necrosis has set in. We could euthansize her but we are trying the best we can do to save her on no money. We are paid up thus far but now she is at the vets and we have nothing more to pay.
The elderly couple that have fed her up to now have separated and do not want anything more to do with the cats, just figures. J-Lo will she need a home as well, and we just hate to put her back out when she may more than likely wind up being a special needs kitty.
She was dropped off yesterday and she will had the pursestring removed and was blocked poop-wise, she so had to be anesthetized again to unblock her. If the pursestring, does not hold or she gets blocked where the pursestring is then she will have this very complicated surgery. She was prolapsed for two months which is just too long.
We would sure appreciate it if you could share her information and help us help J-Lo. We need to pay her medical bills and get her a home quickly or she will be put back outside.
