Sister Saturday: It’s Precious Time

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!

Greetings from upstairs everyone! I know you’ve already figured out that it’s me, Precious. Well, it’s my turn to fill you in on what’s going on here, and to tell you what I’ve learned this week.

As usual, I’ve got the view from the top, the upstairs top that is, and I can see most everything that goes on downstairs.  The little furry one by the name of Zoe has been sick, but not to worry, she seems to be improving nicely.  I’ve sort of had a front row seat in seeing her get stuck to get her blood glucose levels checked.  Let me tell you, that girl is a real trooper.

But through all of this I have learned one thing, patience.  Dad spends lots of time with me each night, but he hasn’t exactly maintained the same schedule that I’ve gotten used to over the years.  Oh, at first I was somewhat vocal about it when he was running late, but I could see he was doing something down there that looked rather important. I still am getting my Dad time and the schedule seems to be returning to normal.  But I’ve learned the value of patience and that good things come to those who wait.  In my case it is the ever popular Dad time.

See, you can teach an old cat new tricks.  Well, I’m not old, but at 11 I think I’ve got seniority around here.  I hope your weekend is wonderful and that you always get the things you want and so deserve too.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Precious you are such a saucpot and it looks like you have been presiding over some rough old goings on that we have missed. You keep up the supervisory duties dear, consider yourself Nurse Supervisor in Chief, maybe a pay rise in the form of some freshly poached salmon?

Poor Sister Zoe and poor Brian! We are so sorry that things have not been going so well for both. But it’s great that your Dad has got such a grip on Zoe’s diabetes which can be such a tricky thing to handle. Brian, again we are sad that you have been having such a rough old do with your bladder, this is no fun at all and we are very happy that nothing sinister turned. Me and the ape are sending you (and Sister Zoe) lots of purrs and love (for your Dad too) to help you both feel better.

Brian, we know you love your family so much and we wonder if your pee issues are fired off by being worried when they are not well? A cat who came before “Patti” used to have these problems whenever one of the other cats was poorly. It didn’t exist when Patti was on earth, but now there’s a product called Zylkene which is made from Casein (a milk protein that calms us when we are babies) it’s added to food and it can help all kinds of critters – cats, dogs, horses and even Siberian tigers too. Just thought we’d mention it as we don’t know if it’s available your side of the pond. It helped Whicky when his first proper Mum died and he came to live here.

Hope you get well soon Brian and well done to Sister Zoe for being such a trooper.

    Luff and purrs
    & Jane the Ape xx

I so agree with you Precious, Dad-Time is worth the wait and the patience, that’s for sure. Have a good caturday and 87 get well wishes and a big hug to your sister Zoe, the trooper and to your fabulous brother Brian.

Precious, it is so good to see you and your furs sure do look pretty. You are such a good kitty for being patient with the Dad. He has had his hands full lately. But hopefully everyone is on the mend now. We send some mighty purrs to everyone.

Precious, I love when I see you. I was remembering when you first came to the house and there was a Precious Cam. I used to see this Precious lump up on the bed. MOL. I loved peeking in at you while it was in operation.

I am purring extra extra hard for Brian. Can’t wait to see how he is faring and Zoe too.

Precious… patience is hard… personally I’ve got none.

I had no idea you were as old as you are… well I probably knew it but forgot. You sure don’t look your age!

Precious, you certainly have a name that suits you! You are a special girl. Your family is blessed to have you. You are blessed to have each other. You are all in my prayers. Take care of each other. ~xoxo~

    Hi Precious!

It is so great of you to be patient while your dad figures out how to help Zoe. We know it is stressful for everyone when a kitty is not well. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Scylla,

OH Precious I am sorry your Dad time got interrupted but you are right he has had two sick kitties, Zoe & Brian to care for. You are loved so much and I just know they appreciate your learning patience. I am afraid that I am very vocal and lack patience so Mommy said I should ask you for some pointers.

  9. Sailor Edgar

Patience? Isn’t that half of a 1950s singing duo? 🙂 Seriously, though, I’m glad that you are doing well and that your Dad’s hard work is being rewarded with progress.

  10. Angel AbbyGrace

Precious we know that you have helped your Dad more than he could ever say. We are so glad that things are getting back to a new normal with Zoe and we know that your Dad has also been helping Brian get back to feeling better too. We are purring for everyone and we agree patience is a virtue.

  11. Nerissa's Life

Precious, I think your dad probably really appreciates you supervisin’ from the top floor. You know, makin’ sure everthin’ is done correctly and whatnot. Peeps seem to really appreciate stuff like that, a lot. And givin’ him a bit of leeway when his sched. runs a little late is a sign of maturity, for sure.

PS. I’m eleven, too! We could be twins. purrs
