Today I’m hiding out in the bottom of our new house. Okay, I’m not really hiding because it’s kind of an open space under here. But, even though I’m happy, I’m not overly happy. Why?
Well, the good news is that Tater was adopted. The sad news is that it wasn’t with the Mamma Turtle. We so wanted a Happy New Year for this super bonded pair, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Now the prospects for Turtle are awfully dim.
So, today is a day of mixed emotions for me, part happy and part sad. I guess I’ll just have to ponder on it for a while. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it, even Mommy Cats!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Oh dear, Brian…I feel for you – and certainly understand your predicament. I’ll bet you’re not the only one who’s only kinda-sorta happy. I’m wishing with all my might for a super-duper forever home for Mama – real soon!
Kisses
Sod, OH bother and sod it and damn and blast. * tears * Oh there is NO JUSTICE 🙁
Oh, we are sad too sweet Brian, we were sure hoping they would go to a forever home together. We sure hope they are not too sad.You all have a great week. Hugs and nose kisses
Poor Turtle! I really hope there is a home out there for her. 🙁
Poor Turtle,
Purrs hard & tweets for her
Paw crossed & purrs
xox
Bummer….we’re glad Tater got adopted but we’re sad they aren’t together. We hope Turtle finds a pawsome forever home soon.
The Florida Furkids
Our paws are crossed for Turtle. We so hope a forever home is found soon. Nice to be back. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
That is very very sad, because Tater is probably very unhappy too. I so wish I could take the Momma kitty. I just don’t have anywhere to put her at the moment. We sure will keep all our paws crossed for Turtle and send lots of purrs.
Turtle is so good looking, why won’t anyone want him? Sad they couldn’t go home together.
Oh poor turtle.. she must be so sad too
Awww, poor Turtle! That is something that I just love and admire about Cat Care – they will NOT separate bonded pairs – ever. Someone has to adopt both kitties or neither kitty. Sometimes it makes for a longer stay at the shelter for a bonded pair, but I think that bond is worth it.
I will pray that Turtle finds her forever home. <3
Oh, my, that is really a mixture of emotions. here’s to hoping there still is a home for Turtle out there.
Oh! My heart hurts for Turtle! I hope Tater manages without her! xx
I’m sad with you and I so agree, Mommy Cats deserved a good home too…. why this world is sometimes so impurrfect….
Great a home was found for one, but yeah sucks they are split up and now Turtle is stuck waiting, as I’m sure they miss each other a lot
Poor Turtle…a difficult situation! Best wishes and purrs for the both of them!
We are so sad that Momma Turtle isn’t being adopted with Tater – we send purrs to them both.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
oh, Brian! we are sad for turtle too! It’s great that tater has his forever home though such a shame they couldn’t be together. We so wish we were closer and could do something for tater. We are purring her home is out there!
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
That is so sad 🙁 I think they should have had to go together- I don’t know how anyone could break apart a bonded pair of kitties.
Purring and Praying that Turtle fiends a forever home soon.
Purrs,
Genghis
Ol’ Peepers and I have reshared. Purrin’ we find Turtle her own forever home, ASAP.
Purrs,
Nissy
That is just heartbreaking. Is there anything we can do to help Turtle?
Just share her at this point. Poor sweet Mom.
Oh darn! We we’re so hoping they would be adopted together. We’re purring like crazy for Turtle…that she will find her furever home soon.
oh no….it is hard to be happy for Tater – though we are – when we hear they wouldn’t adopt Turtle too…..we gots our paws crossed for her and will share
Like you, Brian, we are both happy and sad. Our humans’ friends recently adopted a kitty and then heard that its sibling was pining away, and they went back to the shelter and adopted her as well. Maybe the shelter people could tell Tater’s new parents that Turtle is super sad and depressed, and they will do the same. We’ll be purring and praying for her. sniff, sniff, how sad – my motto is — when adopting a new cat, “what’s one more”? poor Turtle.
We certainly were hoping Tater and Turtle would go together too….I’m happy Tater has a home, now praying BIG TIME that Turtle will know that happiness too even if it’s without her Tater.
Hugs, Sammy
we want to be happy, but we can’t……….we are sad 🙁
THat is so sad. We were hoping that they would go together!
Oh Brian, weez not even know what to say. Weez sharin’ and purrayin’ hers gets da purrfect furever home where she be tweated like da queen she is.

Dezi and Lexi
that is such a shame Brian,I’ll pray that she gets her home soon,xx Speedy
poor mama kitty!! Hope it all works out for them soon!
Brian
Mom adopted Annabelle and on her description it mentioned her kitten with her. Mom missed adopting Annabelle kitten (BTW Annabelle was named Fritz and her kitten was named Bluebelle) by mere days. She said she would have taken them both. She thinks Annabelle even now tries to “mother” the other cats. It breaks her heart and although there is nothing she can do about it now, she still feels sad for Annabelle. So we feel very very bad for Turtle. It seems so heartless. So so heartless.
Oh, Brian, that definitely is bittersweet. Our human couldn’t even imagine separating any bonded pair. We sure hope it works out for the best for them both, even though we can’t see it right now.
Purrs to them.
We are so very sad for Turtle. We just don’t understand why someone didn’t want both of them. We will share her, we so hope she gets a wonderful home and lots of love.
That is so sad. Would it have killed them to adopt both together?!
Cross fingers they decide it is better to have 2 cats instead of one.
Dip and Elliot x
We just don’t understand why people wouldn’t adopt those two together. We are crossing everything we’ve got for Turtle.
Purrs,
The Chans
I am truly sad that they could not be adopted together. I know they will both be terribly unhappy, That makes mom and I unhappy. 🙁
I’m sharing Turtle and hoping she finds a new home soon! She must be awfully sad missing Tater.
We are sad for Turtle but hope her luck changes soon. It’s really too bad that she didn’t get to go with her kidlet. Bonds are important–I mean, that’s how we got Ivan and Izzy both!
Oh dear. I know it’s tough. But we don’t know what Ceiling Cat has planned for Turtle. We’ll purr extra hard for a furever home for Turtle.
It is sad when bonded ones cannot remain together. We hope Turtle will be okay. ~xo~
You look very cute in your new house.
Why couldn’t they have taken both .. people. At least one found a home though. Sad but happy but sad.
JC and The Purr and Fur Gang
That is very sad to split them up. If the people couldn’t take both, why couldn’t they have chosen one that wasn’t bonded with another. Too sad.
Oh, that is just too sad. Revving up our purrs for sweet Turtle to find a forever home real soon.
Oh, poor Turtle. There has to be a perfect forever home out there for her, just waiting to find her.
That is very sad. I hope someone can give her a loving home.
It makes us feel judgemental and sad! Like . . . what kind of person would think it was o.k. to separate them? And why not choose a kitten/cat who weren’t bonded if you didn’t want two? And how great a home is it if Tater’s best interest isn’t in the forefront right from the get go?! We don’t like being judgemental… so hopefully the best and most loving home is just around the corner for Turtle! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
How could they turn down Turtle? I worry for Tater’s safety.
aw, that is bittersweet…we’ll purr for Turtle and hope they don’t mourn each other to badly.
Oh, that is sad. So hoped they would go together. She is so pretty.
We are so happy fer Tater, but so sad for Turtle. Our purrs she finds a home…
We’re purring for both Turtle and Tater. I wish they could be together 🙁
This is so sad. She is beautiful
We will help get the word out
Timmy and Family
oh that just breaks my heart. I had a bonded pair once.. well more on one side than the other.. basically one kitten was the other kitten’s security blanket. They weren’t getting adopted together so they split them up, and the more outgoing one went home first. Poor Peter must have been miserable with out his buddy.. fortunately after a few more weeks he got adopted too and went into a home with other cats who helped him out which I was glad for.
We are so sad that they couldn’t find a home together, many purrs to them both. Purring for a miracle for sweet Turtle.
Oh, that is so tough. Tater gets a home, which is good, but it is not good that Turtle is left behind. She’s such a beauty too.
I hate it when that happens!
