We’re all thankful for our wonderful Vets and all they do to try to keep us healthy. I must admit, we’ve had a whole year of challenges. Early last year it was Sister Gracie and then later on it was Sister Zoe.
Did you ever wonder if your Vet thinks about you when you’re not around? I’m here to tell you that the good ones do. As you might recall, Sister Zoe had three teeth taken out due to tooth resorption a while back. Well, the home phone rang two weeks ago and it was her Dentist. The nice Dental Vet said she was thinking about sweet Zoe and just wanted to call and see if she was doing alright. That was very, very nice.
Dad told her that she was eating good once again and had gained some weight. The Dental Vet asked how her glucose levels were doing since they shot up when she had her extractions done. Dad told her they were stable too. Dad mentioned, in passing, that Sister Zoe was starting to pull at her fur again. That was the end of that. However, Mom got a call on her cell phone from the Dermatologist Vet who said she had heard that Zoe was having some problems again and said she was ready to help explore some other options for Sister Zoe.
It’s so nice to know that not only do they care, but they communicate between practices to make sure their patients are not forgotten. We’re thankful to have so many caring Vets, even though we’re not crazy about the trips to visit them.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

that is wonderful when they show how much they care,xx Speedy
Being ‘on top’ of your cats’ health is the best a vat can do. They are the tops Brian – totally the TOPS!!

Oh yes, vets definitely do think about their patients even when they aren’t around! I miss all of my old patients very much and wish I could see them again sometime =/
That is great and so reassuring. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Vets sure do good work – i just don’t like going to see mine too often.
Purrs,
Genghis
We agree having a vet you can trust who genuinely cares is one of the best things in the world.
Sounds like you have a caring Vet Team for sure — lucky cats.
I think most vets do care about their patients. I have one vet that is really good about that. That was nice of the two of them to call you. You all have a great day and it is so good to be back.
Yup, I know that my doctors do.
I had a brother, Desdemona, who suffered from chronic constipation. Well when my doctor and one of the others at the clinic went to a big ol’ doctor conference in Prince Edward Island, my doctor was askin’ other doctors there if they could suggest treatments. She was askin’ just ’cause she wanted to know as much as possible ’bout Des’ condition to treat him best the next time she saw him.
Also, my doctor sometimes reads my blog. She must be thinkin’ about me then, right?
Purrs,
Nissy
BRIAN WHAT A WONDERFUL VET!! AND WE ARE SO GLAD YOU ARE ALL PERKING ALONG NOW. I HAVE MY SENIOR WELLNESS POKE AND PROD TOMORROW. BUT I DO LIKE MY VET!!
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
Brian, you have pretty awesome vets there. We’d guess that’s not typical of most practices, though. Not in our own experience.
Purrs and peace.
We are very lucky with our vets (Mum always ask for her favourite one if she can). We don’t know why Mum has a favourite vet though unless it’s because she hasn’t stabbed her yet!!).
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That is a great vet! I wish they were all like that.
I’ll tell ya – when we leave Reidsville, we are REALLY GOING TO MISS our vets here. Drs Brigham & Lofgren are two of the most professional, knowledgeable and caring vest we’ve ever worked with. It’s like hooman meds – when you need a doctor/vet, we think it’s kinda hard to find one THAT good. Our new vet will have big BIG shoes to fill in WA State. And they call us too to check on whoever’s been in for a visit most recently. Their service can’t be beat – AND they realize that we aren’t “made out of money”… Read more »
Great when you have vets like that indeed, if only human doctors were that helpful.
Having a great vet is the best! Our wonderful vet, Dr. C, is also a personal friend of #1’s and they occasionally get together for lunches during which important news is exchanged!
Purrs,
The Chans

Brian you couldn’t be more correct! When Cody became ill, my vet was out of town and as soon as he was updated about Cody going in he called me. Then, he made me call him when Cody was done at the Emergency Vet. He also texts me. We are truly blessed!
You and your kitties are fortunate to have such amazing vets.
That made MY day, Brian. I wish and hope to have such wonderful thoughtful Vets in my lifetime. xoxox
We totally hand it to the Vet profession BUT also to everyone out there who cares for animals and go over and beyond to look out for them. We love visiting you 🙂
Happy New Year, Love Helen, Bingley, Darcy & Freddie xxxx
Our vet always follows up with us if we had a serious problem or surgery. It is nice to know they care.
Oh what a pawsome circle of health care providers for you kitties. You sure found the right ones who truly have your well being in mind. Paw pats to this wonderful two legged creatures.

I love that they care so much and that they communicate between practices. That is a sign of a caring vet and not just a good one. Our vet telephoned us after Jasper left for the bridge to ask how we were and that meant the world to us.
It makes such a difference to have a caring vet. The vet that Flynn sees now is the one that was on emergency call out when he became ill, not the original vet who first put him on the thyroid pills. Right through Christmas and New Year he called me every day at first, and then every other day to check on how Flynn was doing. He did that when he was at home and not just when he was working. Every phone call lasted between 30 and 45 minutes and he never charged me for a single one. He… Read more »
Very thoughtful vets!
Sorry I’m so late, but we had a lot to do, and I didn’t feel great to begin with, so I’m exhausted! 🙁
What a comfort it must be to know that you have such caring vets. You are looking very handsome sweet Brian. We hope everyone is well at your place. Hugs and nose kisses
Yea for good vets. They are an essential part of the picture! Glad you are all okay! Hug.
It really makes takes your mind off the worry when you have a good Vet 🙂
We like ours .
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
My new vet reads my blog but we haven’t had contact for a long time. Nice of your’s to care. Maybe they wanted to steal some more of your Dad’s money.
Wow, you’re lucky that you have such great vets.
Those are some amazing vets you have!!! We have good ones too – and I am grateful for them all the time. I do worry, though, that the ones that care SO much might end up burning out. Not every client is compliant and easy to work with. But, that worry aside, I’m glad you kitties are getting such great care!
Sounds like you have some wonderful vets.
That is a great vet. We are fortunate to have one that checks up on us. It is horrible what has been happening overseas. Those poor people.
Sounds like you may have hit the vets jackpot!
Sounds like you have fun some very caring vets. Our favorite moved away last year. Miss her a lot. Hard to get used to a new one. Hope this is a better year for your kitties.
They sound like very caring people. I’m glad they’ve got your backs, kitties (and all the rest of you)!

You obviously have very caring vets. We love hearing that. We have been blessed in the same way, and it gives the humans a lot of confidence and comfort in them, which is so important. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Glad that you have good Vets !
Mine is OK too , I only see her once a year when she stabbs me 🙂
