Not so feral after all! Meet Madeline! She loves attention and being petted and she does not mind if you pick her up. She is very talkative and she turns on an incredibly loud purr. We pulled her from a feral room at the shelter, but you know what? She is not a bit wild/feral. Maybe she has been outside for a while but she is adjusting well to her foster mom’s home – strolling around and checking things out. She is not a long-haired cat but she may be part Maine Coon as her feet are fluffy and somewhat tufted. If you’ll be patient, she will make a loveable, petable (is that a word?) addition to your family. Madeline is 9-12 months old – good with cats (and maybe dogs)

Madeline is adorable! It seems to me that the shelter’s definition of “feral” is not accurate. Madeline should probably have been classified as a “stray”. Our Gracie had been picked up as a stray. The county shelter, where she chose us, has two rooms for cats…kittens and adults.

Thank goodness we have power. Thankfully we had sleet last night not freezing rain. They are both bad but freezing rain accumulates on trees and power lines…sleet just sticks to the ground.
