I went to see all of my specialist Vets on Tuesday. I saw my Dermatoligst Vet, my Internal Medicine Vet, and my Dentiest Vet. Nothing better than getting it all over with in one day! First I saw my Derm Vet. She thought my furs looked great and I’ve not been pulling my furs out for a little while now, so all was good in the Derm department.
Next up was my Internal Medicine Vet. She has been helping me deal with my Diabetes and my Chronic Kidney Disease. I have been eating good and am gaining weight so she was quite please with that. Then she had to do a big bunch of bloodwork to see how things really were.
Here are the results and the good news:
Complete Blood Count – Zoe’s red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are normal.
Chemistry panel – Zoe’s liver enzyme activity and electrolytes are normal. Her kidney values are actually slightly improved compared to last recheck. Her thyroid is normal.
Urinalysis – Zoe’s urine is well-concentrated with no evidence of protein or infection.
I think that Zoe is doing so very well! Her kidneys even look better and lower my suspicion of chronic kidney disease at this time. I think her diabetes mellitus is in remission. Continue to watch her for signs of recurrence.
We were all very excited for some good news and I thank you all for supporting me through all of this.
