When Judy first came to us, we all admired her beauty and wondered what sort of personality she would show us. Her first days were spent high up on a shelf in the room where she felt safe, and we still didn’t know much about her. One day, a new volunteer came to the Cat Room and agreed to spend some time with Judy to see if it might help her along. The transformation was amazing – Judy was loving and affectionate with the volunteer, and acted as if she had entered a whole new world. She would spend time being petted by the volunteer and then wander away to inspect her “new” surroundings for a few moments, and then circle back to the volunteer for more attention.
