Thankful Thursday: BlogPaws is a No Go but Not-Feral Callie Was a Go

Note: I was lots better yesterday and now today I’m back to not so good again.
Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
BlogPaws is coming up very soon, but our Dad is not going to be making the journey this year, and I am most thankful about that.  Y’all know I’ve been battling in the PeeWars and Dad does just not feel comfortable leaving me. Typically I over-stress when Dad goes anywhere so he said he just isn’t going to risk it right now.  Dad said to tell all his pals hopefully they can catch up at some future event.

Then, I get to tell you about Miss Callie, a non-feral feral in the mix here in our neighborhood.  It became very obvious that Miss Callie was not feral, and more than likely she was either dumped or left behind.  Ann, Sister Gracie’s foster Mom, took her to get spayed and microchipped.  She tested negative for all the yucky stuff.  As fate would have it, a local Vet knew somebody who was looking for a sweet calico just like her.  Miss Callie bypassed the “coming back” part and was adopted on Friday.  It happened quickly so we didn’t even have a chance to get her graduation photo.  But that’s fine, a happy ending is indeed something to be thankful for any old day!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I’m sad I won’t be meeting your human at BlogPaws, but he is right – you come first, and he must stay home with you. My human did that many times when Sparkle was not well and she did it last fall when Binga and Boodie weren’t feeling well too.

That is the most awesome news about Callie!

  2. Flynn

Lots of continued purrs, Brian. There will be other BlogPaws to come, and maybe your dad will be able to go another year. We hope he’ll be able to find ways to reduce the stress and hopefully reduce your pee-wars. (Are you picked on by any of your sisters? That wouldn’t help, either.)

  9. hannahandlucy

  28. Hobo Hudson

That sounds similar to what happened to my kitty brother Thomas. A feral cat colony caretaker in our neighborhood emailed all her friends that a cat had shown up in the colony who was tame and asked if someone wanted to adopt him. She had just trapped him and had him neutered and could only keep him a day or two before he had return to the cat colony. She had already given him a name, Thomas, and I heard Mom talk about him. I immediately told Dad to take a look at Thomas, and Mom and Dad went to see him and returned with him. He turned out to be sweet, lovable and one of the best assistants I’ve had for a while.
