Yep, y’all know it is that busy time of year, and our neighborhood is no different. We’ve had a good bit of success with the TNR project and our ferals. However, there are some we’ve never gotten close to getting. We really wanted to capture Mom Cat and her only remaining kitty from the last litter, sweet Zelda. We never got anywhere close to trapping them because either we never saw them when the traps were out or they both just laid down beside the traps and took a snooze. You know where this is leading, don’t you?
Here’s the trap evading Mom Cat when she brought her kittens to introduce them. They are tiny but already super skittish and flee to safety at any hint of humans. Mom Cat is super sweet. She really likes our Dad and will rub on his legs but if Dad tries to touch her she is off in a flash. Her daughter Zelda also evaded the traps and may have had kittens too. We’re not real sure, and maybe her kittens didn’t make it. Only time will tell. Mom Cat is a wonderful Mom and really takes such good care of her kittens. Now Dad has to try and figure out how and when to get the whole family all fixed up.
Then…
Mom and Pop Goose brought a few of their young ones by for a clover feast in our backyard. Mom Cat and her kittens were just a few feet away (just below the bottom of this photo) watching the activities.
So, we’ve been busy and have had lots to watch. I hope you all have a fun week! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Wow, there is a lot going on in your neighborhood! Too bad those kitties refuse to be trapped – if they had any idea of how much better off they would be, they would totally walk into those traps without any urging.
You’re having a busy time of it in your neck of the woods! We hope those sweet kitties can be caught soon. Mama looks quite relaxed!
Mummy cat looks a bit smug there!
wow, you’re having a busy time of it over at your house. We hope you’re able to catch MomCat and whatever kittens that you can. *purrs and prayers*
Don’t give up on Mom cat, it took me two years to catch our Momma kitty. I used to feed her in the carrier. But I am sure you have tried that. Anyway good luck and hope you catch them soon. Have a great day.
They all know that you are good and that they can trust you :o) Mom Cat is a wonderful mom… and a super beautiful girl …
We love the goslings and their Momma and Daddy and we hope they enjoyed their clover feast. Momma Cat’s kittens are so cute.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
haha they don’t want to be snip snipped I guess. Not gonna fall for any simple trick. Wow, they must have though dinner, rather large dinner, seeing them.
We wish you success with the ferals…Mom Cat must be a clever kitty!
We never see geese in our neighborhood…no ponds or streams. That must be why we don’t see raccoons, either.
OMG I love it!! If anyone can get those kitties it’s you…but now….the geese think your home is a home “for wayward Geese!!” lol!
dood…thiz went frum a way awesum soooper kewl…. yay for kitthez post !!!!
……ta….. deer cod…..faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa….bass terd burdz…..get de be jezuz off de lawn….
♥♥♥
Those kitties are so pretty! You can keep the geese. We can’t stand them as they poop up everything around here.
Wow you have a lot to watch!! We’re sorry your dad hasn’t been able to get that last mom and her adult daughter. We love kittens and think they are adorable, but we love that your dad is trying hard to keep more feral baby kitties from being born. Fingers crossed that he gets this group easily when the time comes!
I am praying you catch Momma and her daughter.
Mom Cat looks sweet and the babies are adorable……good luck! The goslings are sweet too – nice of them to keep your clover trimmed!
Hugs, Sammy
We are glad you are doing the TNR. It will help the kittens and the Mom Cat, if you ever get her. We hope that she’ll go for the trap at some point. We will keep our paws crossed!
So close and yet so skittish! What a beautiful little tabby family. I hope you can catch them. Our kitten Mickey Mouser found the sardines in the trap irresistible, but his mother was too smart to get caught.
xxoo
Hey! mes saw that kind of goose on the highway! And the babies is so cute. Too bad Mom Cat and Zelda is so good at avoiding the traps!
But the kittens are so cute.
kisses
Nellie
I hope you can eventually TNR Mom Cat and Zelda. They are very cute. And the goose family is so cute, too!
We sure hope Momma kitty and babies can be trapped!
They are all so beautiful.
You have a lot to look at. We just have flutterbyes coming from the woods and the call of the wild at night .. coyotees but you win, that is for sure.
xo,
The Purr Gang
Such cute kitties! Seems to be lots going on in your neck of the woods…
Noodle and crew
It’s such a dilemma isn’t it. They need to live on their wits to survive and not let anyone touch them but at the same time they may need veterinary treatment and mum needs to be spayed. Hope you manage to coax her round.
Dip and Elliot x
Oh, kittens are so cute to watch. Mommy saw a kitten that reminded her of Charybdis Mother’s Day. It made her sad cause she couldn’t pet it or catch it to bring it home. Our geese never seem to mind us either. Although they kinda scare us.
OMCs Brian you have a 3 ring circus at your house! That must be lots of fun to watch the fluffy baby geese
hugs madi your bfff
Some ferals are so trap smart and just won’t go in. Hope you are eventually able to trap Momma Cat and Sweet Zelda. The kittens are adorable!
I love that Mom cat will rub against your daddy’s legs. I wish she would let him pet her though and I wish the babies were not so skittish but really for their survival it’s best even though they need neutering.
You all look so comfy together 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3
You have a lot of interesting things to watch ! Those ferals are very smart… Good luck ! Purrs
What sweet kitties! It was nice of Momma Cat to stop by and show you her new kittens. Hopefully you will have some luck in helping them. I love the geese too! We have a similar situation here. My cats love to watch the geese from the balcony and the babies are all over right now 🙂
Lots of cute wildlife to watch. Best of luck with your TNR efforts.
Do you like the ferals Brian?
Mom Cat and her kittens look sweet. Mr and Mrs Canada Goose take their six goslings for a walk across our field every day and sometimes I watch them.
It’s a shame that those kitties are quite so smart that you can’t catch them to get them spayed and neutered. It’s hard to want to help and be outsmarted!
WoW, you sur ehave lots to entertain you and your sisters. Good luck with your project, they seem like smart kitties.
Brian, we hope your dad can figure out a way to catch Mom Cat. Those geese would be fun to watch.
Has Dad tried dropping a blob of cat food next to Mom Cat to distract her while she is rubbing his shoes? Just coorious.
Well meowllo handsum, looks like y’all have had lots of fun wound yous place lately. Weez sure hope y’all awe able to catch dat momma and hers babies soon. It’s such a shame dat she be so furinedly and yet misses out on da pawsymness of a luvvin’ pet fwum yous daddy and mommy. Weez sure they wuld be gentle. Maybe yous kuld meow dat it’s okay to her. MOL

Wow, there is lots to watch at your house for sure! Purrs that Mom Cat and Zelda can be trapped and helped.
