Hey, I hope y’all had a great weekend, we did, in between the storms. There was a whole lot of booming and flashing going on and we even spent some time under the bed protecting the dust bunnies. But, here we are at the start of a brand new week.
Food, glorious food! Hey, on Saturday Sister Precious told you how good she was eating. Well, I have a confession to make. I’m eating good too, maybe too good as I sure have put on some weight. The meds I’m on to battle the pee wars sure makes me hungry. So, what do we do when we get hungry? Yepper, we eat.
So far I’ve managed to mostly avoid the scale thing, but I’m not sure I’ll be avoiding it for long. I heard Dad and Mom talking something about portion control. I’m seriously hoping that they weren’t talking about me. I don’t have any trouble taking control of my own portions.
Well, I’d love to stay and chat a bit longer but I’m going to go scope out the buffet. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Medicine does weird things Brian, but there is a reason portions are the right size!
Brian, we are all strictly portion controlled here! So you will get no pity from us, MOL!
Keep my paws crossed that you don´t have to go on any dreadful diet , Brian !!
XOXO
Oh Brian, I hope you don’t have to join me on portion control diets. ~Scylla
Portion control??????????? :::::::::faints:::::::::::
The Florida Furkids
Oh no, portion control. That sure isn’t any fun. Maybe it won’t happen. You look just fine to us.You all have a great day and try to stay cool.
We had storms and extreme heat the past few days. The Internet was unstable and the power was, too! It makes it hard to blog and everything else, too.
The kittens are weaning. Portion control is a problem for Louis and Riley. They want to eat and eat…anything! George and Bindi like to eat, but would rather play and cuddle.
❤
Don’t worry about the weight yet, sweetheart, just worry about the pee war.
I hear ya my furiend! When I am on Pred it makes me soooooo ravenous (well, don’t tell, but i am ravenous ALL of the time!) “Dr.Smiley” only allows me to have 1/4 cup of kibble a day and then 1/2 a SMALL can of wet food twice a day (and a few lean kitty treats)….hope they don’t portion control you my furiend! Love, Cody
Have a wonderful week.
Brian, Z-Girl is muttering about portion control here, and quite frankly I plan to continue to stage my protests where I roll on the floor with a cute chirping noise and then flip my front paws. It works like a charm. Well except for the fact that she stopped putting down crunchies every day…huh, I wonder…no, no….
We hope everyone has a good week and look forward to updates from you!
Valentina and the gang at Squeedunk Cats
Portion control?? Isn’t that something like mind control?! 🙂
You should have seen the storm we drove through on the way back from visiting one of Ron’s relatives who is getting married! On second thought, it’s good that you didn’t see it…would have been too scary.
Portion control!! We thought that was only for humans!!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Portion control are just awful words. Just run around a bit more, easy win.
Oh Brian not the dreaded 4 letter word that starts with a
d and ends with a t. It has been uttered here too. We can commiserate together.
Hugs madi your bfff
Brian, send me a couple of your pounds and then we will both be just right!
Maybe you will enter my mommas die-t club? she eats only “air” and she makes a face like Grumpy since days … :o)
dood…just ta give yur dad a headz up but ther iz noe such thing az porshun control coz porshunz canna bee controlled frum de get go…thatz why they is never at like sportin events ore concerts & stuff like that…. ♥♥♥
Portion control! That sure doesn’t sound fun…hopefully you won’t need it 🙂
Eating too much is not good. You better work on slimming down. My cat bro Bert is never fond of dieting, but he gets chubby fast if he is not careful.
I understand, Brian! I LOVE to eat. The Mom and Dr. Stabby worry that I am a little too heavy. But I say it’s better that I am eating than not eating, MOL!
Purrs,
Lita
I wish I could blame my extra weight on my medications! I’m sure you will be fine, Brian. You have some really pawsome parents that love you very much. Just get in little extra play time and you could keep that weight down. 🙂
Glad you are eating. Food always makes us feel better!
We know all too well about the thunder and lightning storms. We had a big one overnight with tons and tons of rain. And more on the way.
We hope you can still manage to eat well and avoid the scale – the peeps here are always fretting about our weight too.
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Our human wants to ask how to do portion control in multi cat home when only one cat needs portion control?
Buster: Pleaaaaase don’t give her tips on how to do this. Pretty please!!!!!
Glad you handled your storms so well and protected those dust bunnies! MOL! We know about portion control and all you need to remember is to make sure you get all your portion. No sharing. You’ll do fine. Oh, and thinking about bacon. Lots of thinking….
We’re hiding right now because of those boomies –yikes — they are loud.
WE sure hope you don’t have to control your portions Brian!
Brian,
Yous looks purrfect to mes!
Kisses
Nellie
Brian, you look perfect- no need for portion control.
Have a delicious week!!!!!!!
Oh Brian, but yous lookin’ so good. Tell yous pawents dat pawtion contwol is: “how much ever yous cat will eat at one sittin’ at least 2 times a day.” MOL Mommy’s so happy when we eat well dat she lets us have however much we want at dat time. Here lately sis Lexi’s been eatin’ 5-6 ounces at a meal. Mommy’s so happy she be puttin’ on da weight. Weez got our paws cwossed fur ya’ handsum. Instead of portion control, you could also just run a bit more 🙂
Hooray for good eatin’! Glad you and Sister Precious are doing so well 🙂
Poor shun control??? No way Brian! You need to practice your control shunning abilities!! 😉
I’ve been just the opposite. I didn’t eat good all weekend but today I’ve been doing OK. I tend to binge and fast. I hope they don’t torture you on a diet.
Dieta?! Oh não!
Talvez eles não estivessem falando sobre você Brian, vamos manter patas cruzadas para não dietas.
Portion control doesn’t sound good. My meds have helped me put on weight but my vet was hoping they would, so no portion control for me.
Brian, there are no buffets here, so have a little for us. Mealtimes may get a little crazy, but it keeps our girlish and mancatly figures.
Brian, the mom has been trying portion control with me but I keep telling her that my appetite can’t be controlled! ~Wally
Oh, Brian. I’m so sorry about the flashes and booms. I hope that all of you have recovered from that. I also hope that your parents weren’t talking about portion control for *you*, our handsome Brian!
How funny, we are getting a lot of storms too and rain.
Glad everyone is eating well, it’s nice to know you are putting on weight 🙂
Dip and Elliot x
Portion control sounds no fun… Ask your pawrents for extra-playtime ! Purrs
Hi Brian it’s Sherri-Ellen here. It could be the med making you retain water/fluid hence the weight gain. I am not sure what med you are taking. When Nylablue was on the Depomedrol she got quite ‘chunky’ but in fact it was fluid not actually body mass.
There are side effects with most meds unfortunately! You ARE looking fit & healthy & that makes us VERY happy here!!!! 🙂
{{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen
We think gaining a little weight is not a bad compromise if it keeps the pee wars at bay. Good luck with keeping your humans from cutting your intake. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
We think that “portion control” means not leaving anny food in yer bowl.
We are glad you are feeling well Brian and hopefully you won’t have to cut back too much.
