Sister Kit, for those of you who may be new or are not aware, did not always have it so good, at least for a while. Sister Kit used to live in an apartment complex where our Grandma lived. Mom and Dad used to wave at Kit who would usually be sitting in a window looking out. Then one day, when Mom and Dad went to visit our Grandma, it was obvious that her apartment was empty and the humans there moved away.
A few days later Mom spotted Kit running into the bushes. Here peeps had moved away and left her behind. Kit eventually showed up around our Grandma’s patio and it was quite obvious she was scared and hungry. Mom and Dad started putting food out for Kit and she would eat some and run off. At one point she did a big stretch by putting her front paws up on the sliding glass door. It was very obvious that she had been declawed. Declawed and left behind outside.
Mom eventually got close enough to her while Kit was eating and scooped her up and got her in a carrier. Off to the Vet she went. Her flea infestation was awful, to the point where she itched so much she had chewed off part of her lower lip. You’ll often notice her unusual bottom lip in her photos.
When she was released, our Grandma, a real kitty lover, agreed to foster her until we found her a home. A pretty quick foster failure. Kit loved our Grandma and Grandma loved her too. When our Grandma moved to an assisted living facility, Kit went right along with her. When our Grandma went to Heaven, Kit became Sister Kit and moved in with us. Sister Kit was accepting and accepted immediately.
So, once again, Happy Gotcha Day Sister Kit. We are very happy that our Mom was determined to help you and that you are here with us now. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
