Opt to Adopt: It’s Do or Die Time for Romeo and Tigger – Greenville, SC

Okay gang, this is serious, it really is do or die time for these too.  Here’s what our rescue pal Jenna has to say…

“I got a call from a vet on the Eastside of Greenville today on these two.  Romeo who
she says is so awesome was turned in to be euthanized because he is a diabetic.  He is 12 years old and has a microchip blood sugar monitoring device implanted to read his blood sugar.  They will both have free teeth cleanings and are UTD on shots, tested and of course S/N.”

We think Tigger’s owner may be in a nursing facility.

Here they are and their Bios:

ROMEO:
Sophisticated gentleman. Follows you around but does not want to climb on you. I have gotten him to play a time or 2. Came to us with Diabetes and was to be euthanized. He is on a special diet and gets insulin injections twice a day. He is well regulated and no other health problems evident. Very easy to care for. 12 years old.

tigger02TIGGER:
Retrieving cat…she will find something at least once a day to bring to you. She will hold it in her mouth and cry until you acknowledge her above average hunting and retrieving skills. Can be really loving but is also a little touchy. Would not do well in a household with lots of noise or with folks who would pick at her or be rough with her. May tolerate 1 other cat but really doesn’t like other cats. She has had some allergy ear issues that resolved with a low allergen diet. She is very curious and will ingest string and string like material so you will have to cat proof your home. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. She is a silly cat ! She is 12 years old with no evidence of any health problems

Please share them.  We can help arrange transportation.  If you can help one or both, please contact Jenna at tomjeng (at) charter (dot) net.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Love the picture of Tigger stretching his pretty paw towards the camera. Romeo reminds me of Maxie who was a rescue cat (all black and so similar to look at) he adored me and hated another cat to sit on my knee – he sadly died with cancer.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

These look like such wonderful kitties! It is so sad that they would be euthanized for having diabetes. Can you imagine what would happen to the human population if we euthanized humans for having diabetes? Ugh. Anyways, I hope they find a home really soon. They are so beautiful!

  9. Sometimes, Cats Herd You

We’re crossing our paws for these two to get some good homes. And we’re absolutely fascinated about the microchip blood glucose monitoring devices. Those sound like such a good idea to make people less afraid of adopting diabetic kitties!

I’m so sorry that we’ve been awol. We take time away from the internet every now and then. It’s good for the soul!

I hope that both of these wonderful kitties find homes before it’s too late. I know that you are helping.
