Mancat Monday: Cloudy and Rainy Is Getting Old

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Yep, this is my disgusted look.  A cloudpuddle isn’t nearly as fun as a sunpuddle, but it’s been a long time so I’m not sure I even remember what a sunpuddle feels like.  Cloudy and dark, cloudy and dark, yadda, yadda, yadda.  Our friend Marg lives a bit South of us and she has the ark fired up and ready to go.

Besides that, it’s been darn hard to care for the feral kitties.  Oh, they are getting fed twice a day, it’s just that we don’t know who is here and who isn’t.  We peek out and see kitties, but even with the big deck lights on it is hard to tell one tabby from another.  We can tell there are kittens and bigger kitties, but that’s about it.  And trapping to do the TNR thing? Furgetaboutit!  Hopefully we will get a day in this week since there might be a day without rain, maybe, maybe not.

So, we think we need to fire our weather guessers and get some new ones who will give us a better forecast.  Have a fun week everyone and if you see a sunpuddle please send it my way.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Too bad you can’t send some of that rain to California! We’ve been getting a few sprinkles but that is about it. Although I keep hearing about some sort of weather thing called El Nino, which is supposed to dump a bunch of water on us.

It’s tough when you have rain day after day – depressing AND you can’t get a lot done outside either! Hang in there – I bet the sun is on its’ way…….patience is a virtue!

    Hugs, Sammy

I do have the ark fired up. I can barely get out to he donkeys, it is sooooooooo wet and muddy. All the animals are miserable here. The cats do come in but they don’t like it and go back out in the rain and now it is cold. Sorry, I had to vent too. We are just sick of all this. So Brian, we feel the exact same as you do.

Keep your paws crossed that the sun comes out tomorrow. You all try to stay dry.

Sounds like way too much of a good thing there, Brian. We actually need some more rain up North of you. It is never even, is it?

We’ve had rain, rain, rain for days and it is so windy and cold too. We just spend most of our time curled up to keep our little noses warm.

that rain is annoying, I so agree… maybe we should be our own weather-guesser with some funny dog&cat rules , like: if the cat not leaves the bed, it probaly outside darned wet. or: if the dog barks at the moon, snow comes soon :o)

Sorry to hear about your bad weather…I can understand how it would make caring for the ferals difficult. If possible, I’d send you some of our bright, sunny weather. You would have to take the chilly temps that go with it, though. 🙂

  8. Ann Staub

Hope it brightens up for you soon Brian! It got cold here this weekend finally. Seems to be quite the variety of cold/warm/rainy/cloudy/sunny. But, that’s Texas weather for you.

  9. Fur Everywhere

You guys need a little kitty cam out there so you can see all the ferals come and go. 🙂 We didn’t have any sunpuddles this morning or we would gladly send you one! We hope the sun comes back to visit you soon.

We’ve had nothing but rain and fog and clouds for what seems like forever here in GA too! Please come back out soon, Mr. Sun!!!

  13. Katie Isabella

I tally agree Brian, and I have always said the three or four tops days of sun we get are ALWAYS punished with 9 days of rain!

  14. The OP Pack

Rainy days are no fun at all. We wish we could share the beautiful weather we are having here the past few days. But there are some strong storms coming in on Wednesday, and Mom is worried about Ciara:(

Hope you get some sunshine soon.

Peep #1 is actually hoping the rain comes on Wednesday like the weatherpeep said. Could you believe it? She ‘says’ it’s because she limed the lindens and stuff and the lime needs to be rained in but personally, I think she’s just making that up to cover her foolish peepish behaviours and stuff. MOUSES!

  18. Deziz World
