Mancat Monday: The Tree and Me

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! Oh my, I do love our Christmas Tree and I’ve missed it.  Dad put up our tree last week and the Mom spent lots of time decorating it.  We hardly ever bother the decorations, but we sure do like the boxes they are stored in, and as soon as those boxes show up we’re right there to supervise.

This year though, the Christmas Tree is especially useful.  Seriously!  We’ve found it the purrfect spot to hide from the Medicine Man.  As you can see, the tree is pretty low to the ground and when we get back towards the back we simply can’t be had.  Dad and Mom do get a bit frustrated.  I’ll be sitting right there on the ottoman looking at the tree and the moment there is a secret thought about medicine I seem to magically transport way back under the tree.  It works almost every single time, and it works for Sister Zoe too.

Anyways, we do love the tree, and not just at medicine time.  We really do like it at night when the lights are on, it’s very pretty and we love to just sit and look at it.  Sorry, I was being a big rude though.  Would you like to see our tree???  Okay, here you go.

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! See how low it is?  And it’s pretty wide at the bottom too.  Overall it is just right for us. Now all we need is for Santa to leave some nice and fun toys under there for us.

I hope you have a fun week everyone and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

What a pretty tree! Ashton has been hiding from Newton under the tree every night since he was choosing to use that time to pick on her, but she sneaked past him into the bed last night. Now somebody else can lounge there for a while. It’s tough to share time. Maybe we multi-cat households need more trees. Do you have a time-sharing arrangement there, Brian?

  2. Madi

Brian! That tree is truly beautiful. Your mom did a super job decorating it. And yes, I imagine it IS handy to sorta duck under what that secret thought flies through the ether straight to your mind and you know what’s coming. Love you Brian. Very much.

What a pretty tree and pretty convenient too! I’ll bet if TW had a low tree, she’d stand it on a table cos that’s what she used to do in the old house.

  15. The OP Pack

Oh, Brian, your tree is just beautiful – so nicely decorated too. We can see why you like to hide under there. That’s OK to do for a while, but do be a good boy and come out for your meds:)

A hiding spot is a very creative use for your Christmas tree.
Your tree is beautiful. It makes my mom think that she needs to class our up a bit.

  17. Socks, Scylla, Fenris, Tuiren &YinYang

Your tree is lovely, we don’t have ours up yet. If the humans procrastinate to much longer we will probably just skip it again this year, and with YinYang it might be best. We sure do enjoy looking at all our friends trees though, thank you for sharing yours with us.

  18. Kitties Blue

    1. Your tree is so beautiful.
    2. Mom has not put ours up yet.
    3. She decided to buy new rugs which met cleaning and resealing the hardwood floors first.
    4. We don’t know when our trees will go up.
    5. Cat #1, Skooter, got a pill everyday, and he too found under and behind the tree an excellent hiding place.
    6. Brian you are precious and adorable in your photo.
    7. Pffft to our mom for taking her needs into consideration before ours.
