That’s right, today is my Gotcha Day! On this day in 2008 I came to my new home for the very first time. I was as happy as could be and loved my new Brother Ivan and my new family. Sadly, my Brother Ivan ran for the Bridge less than a year later.
For those of you who are new to our blog, I was adopted once before, but was abused in that home. I am so thankful that the nice ladies at Kitten Action Team do follow-up home visits. They noticed right away that I wasn’t the same Brian they knew and that I was scared, not happy. They, on the spot, took me away from that place and took me back to the adoption center.
My human Mom was sad that I was not at the adoption center because she wanted to adopt me. But she was happy when I was back and immediately started to convince my human Dad that I would be the purrfect brother for Ivan. She did, I was adopted and was finally home, really home, just in time for Christmas.
I am a happy boy and I knew immediately I was exactly where I was supposed to be and that is still the case. That is one of the main reasons I try to help others find their Gotcha Day too, everyone deserves it. Thanks to all of you for being my friends for so long.

Brian Buddy, it just makes us sick to think that you were abused in your previous home. We get so mad at humans that do that to innocent animals, but then you know that and feel that way too. We are so happy you were gotted because we would hate to think that we might not have ever gotten to know and love you and your wonderful family. Brian, I am so sorry I am late wishing you a Happy Gotcha Day. I am a bad girlfriend. But it’s totally not my fault. Mommy was in Meridian for Grandpa’s surgery Monday and didn’t get back until late Tuesday night. She says they got a miracle and is very happy, so I am happy too.
