Mancat Monday: Monsoon Season is Back Again

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Yes, we are inside kitties, and we’re so happy about that, but part of our family, our feral family, lives outside.  So when the weather isn’t at it’s best, we feel pretty bad for the ferals. It’s been cold here, then it gets warm, then it gets cold, then it rains.  Let me tell you, lately when it rains it does so with gusto.

That’s what we have to look forward to this week.  If the monsoons come, then our friend Marg will dust off the ark and swing by to pick us up.  Oh, the other thing that’s missing during the rains are the sunpuddles.  Believe me though, I don’t mind laying here on the couch waiting for them.  Hopefully I won’t fall asleep and miss them.  Dang, that sounded silly didn’t it?  Of course I’ll fall asleep, sunpuddle or no sunpuddle.

How about some good news from here in South Carolina?  One part of the primary election is over and the phone has quit ringing.  That darn thing almost wore it’s ringer out.  The no ringing thing does make for better nap time!

Y’all have a marvelous week and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Sorry about all that rain. Brian. We hope it clears up soon. At this end, the weather forecast for this week keeps changing, so we don’t know, but we can always hope for some snupuddles!

Monsoon season is upon us, too. We are expecting rain, rain, and rain this week. Hopefully some sunpuddles will stop by 🙂 Happy Monday!

Well one good thing about rainy days is that they are nice for snoozing…..we will get rain this week too and I’m just going to accept it and keep my fleece blankie READY for naps. I also know that there’s a fair chance that one or other of my humans will be curling up for a rainy day nap too which is a DOUBLE treat! Enjoy your snoozing Brian!

    Love, Sammy

Hoping you don’t get all of the rain that you think you are going to get!! Thank COD for Marge!!!!!
As for the election, I never answer the phone if it is a number calling that I don’t know!

I must say, in the picture (cute one) you don’t look seriously disadvantaged by the weather. 🙂 And as someone who has lived in the tropics, I could tell you about rainy seasons!

I am praying for all the poor ferals. I look forward to when our phone stops ringing too- we even had someone at the door yesterday with campaign information.

Oh sweetums, would you send those monsoons over here in California? It seems we are still not getting enough for our needs.

BTW, it’s nice to know what state you live in.

  9. Katie Isabella

Brian, I finally looked it up and we only have about half a year with sun or even partly sunny out of every year these past 5. Thats a LOT of gloom and rain. Your weather is a lot like mine.

  10. The OP Pack

We think it might be nice to go for a ride with Marg on the ark, but it might be even better if the sun came out:)

Get ready, that phone might start ringing off the hook again with the next round coming up:)

Boy, oh boy, do we know a lot about rain! It rains for months here in the Pacific Northwest, but that’s makes it green and flowery outside. So our Mom says we should like it. *sigh* Sunpuddles would make that easier. Hope you find some this week!

  13. Marg

Brian, we are missing those sun puddles also. We sure will dust off the ark and looks like we are going to need it tomorrow and Wednesday. I think we are back now.

  14. Cathy Keisha

I feel your pain though today is gorgeous! I have whiffies but then the rain starts for the rest of the week. TW is already panicking because of the leak that they can’t fix cos the crack is outside.

Monsoon? Oh Brian dat’s pawful, specially fur da ferals. We sure hope da weather calms down fur y’all and you get sum of those pawsum sun puddles. enjoy your nap and we hope you all have a pawsul day.

I hope your rain isn’t too bad. It is supposed to be dry here on Tuesday and Wednesday and maybe even Thursday. Me and my mum don’t believe that though. It’s too much to ask to have 3 days in a row without rain.

Brian, I worry about feral cats too. Up in Iowa we didn’t seem to have them. I think it was just too cold. But we’ve noticed a couple living in the wooded areas in our subdivision. They won’t let you near them, so i’m guessing they are feral. Sorry about the phone calls and the rain. It will be spring soon and you’ll get lots of nice wisps of fresh air coming in. 🙂

  18. Sometimes, Cats Herd You

We worry about the local ferals when it rains, too. It’s a tough life. We’re glad your ferals are sure to get square meals outside your house.

It has been dry here for a few days, but that’s about to change. We’re charging our solar batteries as fast as we can!

  19. Marty the Manx

Hope the weather calms down for your outside kitties. We hated it when the stupid elections were here. Dreading next year…..Have a great week!

Sun puddles are the best, and I hope that you get some soon! We caucus on Super Tuesday, and the phone has just started ringing. You’re lucky it’s over!

  22. Dip and Elliot

Here’s hoping the sun comes out for good soon and all the rain goes away. It must be hard for the ferals in winter, Mum feels sorry for any animal who is outisde in Winter.

Sounds just like here. At least all the rain and a couple days of warm temps have taken away most of the snow that is not in multi-storied mounds in parking lots. We sure are hoping that stuff doesn’t come back anytime soon. Stay snuggly and nap away. You are not missing anything.
