Howdy everyone! Like most of you, our Spring was here, disappeared, came back again, etc, etc, etc. Well, it looks like the colder stuff is gone for a while and the warm stuff has arrived. It’s almost like Summer is sneaking in, it’s going to be that warm. I’m thankful for that for a couple of reasons. First, the sunpuddles are warmer, and second, the ferals don’t have to worry about freezing their tails off. See, it’s a win-win type of thing.
The only problem with this time of the year is it can also be nasty storm season, and that’s never any fun. But many of you have that same nasty storm problem. So, it’s time, if you don’t have a plan for nasty weather, get one in place now. Make sure you have a safe place to go if a tornado is headed your way, or a hurricane, or just one big old nasty storm. Don’t wait until it’s too late, plan now.
I’m thankful that we have a plan, and I’d be more thankful if you had one too. So, what are you thankful for today? See y’all at the Hop!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Spring has taken it’s time coming here too.
Today and Friday will be nice and warm and sunny for us!
We think it is a smart idea to be prepared for any kind of storm.
Lucky for us, we do not get really bad storms too often, but we still need to be ready ; )
You look very thoughtful Brian.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
My human thinks tornados are really scary! For some reason, she is nowhere near as scared of earthquakes, which is what we have to deal with here.
Spring has finally arrived here too, Brian, but it seems that we have storm too all the time. It is scary to think of tornado’s, poor people and animals who are involved in those kind of storms 🙁 You look terrific today, those Spock ears are very impressive 😀 Pawkisses for a Thankful Day 🙂 <3
We are so glad for the warmer weather too. Sure makes the cats happy. Good advice Brian about having a plan for storms. You all have a super day.
Good point, Brian! We don’t see a lot of tornadoes around here (at least not in comparison to IN where I grew up!) but we definitely get them. I need to figure out where we can go in this building to be safe – we live on the 11th floor – so that would be no good!
Purrs,
Mom Sierra
We’re glad the warms are warming too! Even being outside is nice these days – the early mornings are still cold but the days are grand. Ever since the tornado came through town a few years ago we have kept a “get out quick” bag handy…..we hope we NEVER have to use it but we’re ready.
Love, Sammy
Spring is here too. Rain today. Have a great day.
Spring came, left and came back again here, too. And summer is ready to move in already! Storm is never fun indeed. It’s always good to be prepared. Happy Thursday 🙂
WE say amen to this post Brian…mom is very fearful of thunder and lightning. Thus so am I…lol If it is really bad she has been known to shove me in my PTU and sit on the floor by me. All comes from childhood her granny used to make all the kids sit in the living room on the floor during storms. MOL
hugs madi your bfff
You are looking extra handsome. I am glad it is warmer, but I hope you don’t get any severe weather.
We are so happy as we’ve got a lovely warm sunny day today – it’s going to be wet and windy all weekend to we’ll both be grumpy then!
I agree with you, even when Jack Frost disappeared there are flooded areas, thunderstorms and hurricanes…. and I hope that no peeps or pets or wildlife will be in danger…
Our nasty weather is usually fall. Still cold here though ugg.
Spring is really hitting its stride, isn’t it?
We have warmer weather here, too, and we are glad of it. Ron got the the tomato seedlings potted up, and they are all (70+) out on the patio. We also put the sweet pepper seedlings (14) in the larger pots where they will spend the rest of the growing season. We will only keep about 6 of the tomato seedlings and give away the rest.
Mom nearly dreads the summer because of all those big ol’ nasty storms. WE are purring that no one is impacted this year because of one.
We had summer last weekend, but then spring returned. We are alright with that as we are not huge fans of heat.

Brian, you summed up our weather perfectly too. So many ups and downs. And now we are hearing that next week we have a threat of severe weather – not good for Ciara!!! But we have all our plans ready, so we will be safe. Great reminder for all.
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Brian, wiser words have never been spoken. It’s so important to have a plan. When we lived in TX, the spring storms could get very bad. It’s not as bad here as far as tornadoes, but we had a close scare a few weeks ago. We hope your weather will be calm this season. Enjoy that warmer weather!
We are lucky that we don’t have may storms like Sandy that came through a few years ago. TW is more scared of thunderstorms than I am.
I am glad you are getting the warms, but hope you don’t get any bad storms. The colds are coming back here for the weekend.
Yay to warm sunpuddles!
Storms are bad!! We read about Sister Kit on Facebook and we are sending purrs and prayers (((hugs)))
We think earthquakes are less scary than your tornadoes and hurricanes. But then, we are Californians! MOL
Stay safe!Spring is so unstable and fickle! xo
That’s a really important reminder, Brian. It’s good to have a plan!
Sending purrs and prayers for Sister Kit.
We are glad your Spring is (trying!) arriving. We hope all the possible storms stay out of your backyard! :p
the critters in the cottage xo
Wes gots our fingers crossed that yous guys does not gets horrible weather. The warms is not too good back in Midway with Kozmo, Jo Jo and the Hairy Slobbery sister Cinnamon. The River behind the house is at 19 feet! That higher than its been in YEARS! All the snow is melting way too fast because of the warms. Usually the melt does not happen until the end of June and here is is the end of April. Daddy has the carriers all ready to brings everybody here to visit, if they floods…mes is purryaing that it doesn’t…mes likes… Read more »
Our winter storm season is over. We get wind and rain, but not much else. I’m thankful we don’t have tornadoes. We get tiny tornadoes here where a fence might blow down or a few roofs might lose some shingles, but nothing like the rest of the country.
It’s good you have an emergency plan, but we hope you don’t have to use it.
Mee-you Brian our weathe riss just like yurss: warm; then cold; then rain an then warm an ree-peet!! An sumone said thee “ESS” word on Tee Vee last nite!
No moe snow pleeze!! Wee had enuff all ready!!
