Mancat Monday: Scales and Pee Wars

40 Comments on Mancat Monday: Scales and Pee Wars

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! Okay, if you look behind me you can see the infamous scale thingy.  You usually hear about the scale from Sister Gracie.  But what you may not know is that I’ve had to get on that thing too.  The special med blend to battle the pee wars has given me some added weight too.

Last time I mentioned Pee Wars a few newer followers didn’t know what I was talking about.  For those new to our blog, I had what appeared to be a constant UTI for months and months and months.  Nothing helped.  I was miserable.  Finally, our ER Vet came up with a med combo to help me.  Last Friday I celebrated one year of not battling the Pee Wars.

Anyways, back the weight thing.  Since we’re transitioned to wet food diet only, mostly that is, except for a very small handful of kibble, I’ve lost 6 ounces.  So, I’ve learned that the scale isn’t all that bad when is shows that you’re actually losing weight.  How did Sister Gracie do?  You might be surprised, but I’ll let her tell you about it on Saturday.

Have a fun week everyone.  Oh, check back here tomorrow for some really good news.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I’m glad the scale has been good to you, Brian! AND you’ve fought off that awful UTI for so long successfully! Paws up to you.

Brian, you carry it well and in a manly way but we understand that is not good for you to carry extra. I am so darn glad the pee war ended. That was harrowing to you and your family and to all those of us who love you.

Oh Brian, pee-war free for a whole year – your vet is a genius and I’m glad your body is coopertating! YAY! I’m not a fan of the scale – especially since it’s telling me how much weight I’ve lost thanks to the thyroid thing BUT my doc isn’t concerned yet so I won’t be.

    Hugs, Sammy

Concats Brian!! I’ll bet the wet food helped with the Pee Wars too. Make sure when you get weighed no cat puts her paw on the scale with you.

Unscheduled / unauthorized / painful peeing gone, and a little weight-loss thrown in: I’d say things are going well for you, Brian. For us humans, the war to keep our furry friends healthy is constant; we are always on guard. Keep up the good work, handsome mancat, and feel even better tomorrow.
