Thankful Thursday: A Little Bench Rest Is Okay with Me

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! I do love this bench, it’s always a nice place to watch what is going on and it’s a darn nice place to rest too!  I’m glad the bench is still here, considering some of the places have changed recently.

Let me tell you about the biggest change.  The bed, we we often run under to spend time with our pals the dust bunnies, is no longer underable.  Yes, I likely just made up a new word.  The point is, under the bed is no longer an option.

I think all this started when Sister Kit was hurt and she went and hid under the big bed, and she had to be brought out by other than her own free will.  The big bed has been lowered and, no matter how hard we might try , there is no getting under there.  Oh, believe me, we’ve all tried.  Sister Zoe used to go under there about 5 minutes before medicine time.  Dang, what’s up with a bed you can’t get under.

I’m just thankful that nothing strange like that has happened to our bench.  We all use this bench at sometime throughout the day and we’d sure hate if it got lowered too.  I hope to see all y’all at the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop today!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

My human is trying to figure out what to do about the under part of our bed too! She worries about what would happen if there was an earthquake or fire or other disaster near our house and we’d have to leave quickly. She thinks things would go faster if we didn’t have that space under the bed to hide. Fortunately she’s pretty slow about getting things done, so we get to keep it for a while.

Oh no, we love hiding under the bed. But such a good idea for the peeps and being able to catch you felines. Glad you still have your bench. You all have one great day.

Wow, now that is just rude. Those dust bunnies will be lonely now.

Mom said that the big oak bed was/is a hindrance for her too trying to catch Admiral/or me if it happens … to take her to the dreaded vet. She hired vet techs to come get her as the bed is too heavy to move well and Admiral only scooted under as it moved and too low for her to crawl under and get Admiral and try to get out WITH her in tow. Horrible.

What a shame your under bed hidey spot is no longer available! At least your bench hasn’t lowered itself! Enjoy your day!

Ee depend on the element of surprise to pick up our Gracie to trim her nails or take the kitties to the vet. Millie is not as difficult to catch.

Your bed is no longer underable? Not at all? MOUSES! There ought to be a law against that, for sure. Again I must say, MOUSES!

Brian I have the solution, rather than lower the bed, raise it. Maybe not as high as a bunk bed, but high enough for peep to get under too. Way easier, and I think more fun as your peep can join in any mousing activities too… purrs ERin

Mom doggoneit keeps the rooms with the beds off limits to us in the daytime. So no hiding UTB for us.

Hi Brian, sorry your bed is no longer underable!
But glad your bench stays unchanged 🙂

We can’t hide under the bed either as Mum bought a new bed with drawers underneath so we have no room to sneak in like we used to.

I wish I could lower our bed, it is a prime spot for cat vomit and hard to get under to clean.

Mommy wants to know how your pawrents managed to lower da bed Brian. Don’t tell her. Let’s just keep dat ‘tween da walls and us okay. Besides, we have a hospital bed and she can’t pawssibly lower our bed dat low without havin’ to put up da rails. Sorry ya’ll no longer have UTB as an option, but me has no doubt ya’ll will find somewhere just as good soon. MOL Big hugs all around.

Luv ya’

Whoa! A bed you can’t go under?? TW’s bed has tons of boxes under it but thanks to Nicky, I can still crawl under there. You see, he dug into the box spring when they first moved here. But how do you lower a bed?

Well, that is a bummer about the bed but we understand the need for safety for all. Let’s just hope that bench doesn’t get benched:)

Brian, I can’t get under the bed in my room anymore. The lady with the yellow hair has it all blocked off. She was afraid if I got under there, I’d never come out. And she’s probably right. ;). ~Zoey

Pierre can get under our bed but Bentley doesn’t fit. It gets so irritated when Pierre hides under the bed during a wrestling match. LOL!
