It’s hard to believe that it has been four years since you ran off to the Bridge and I miss you so very much. For those of you new to our blog, Alex was my dear Husband Cat and we were married in a private ceremony right before he left for the Bridge. Alex was the love of our very good friend Hilary from FeelingBeachie.com New readers always wonder about my Alex heart. I vowed to have Alex’s heart with me forever and ever.
Alex, lots has happened in the four years since you left. Your selection of beautiful Lucy to help your Mom Hilary was just purrfect, but I know you know that. Your family is getting ready to move from the beach and Lucy is a little nervous, but we know all will be okay with you watching over them.
I’m thankful dear Alex that you visit me and assure me when I’m afraid too. I’m thankful for the good times we had when you were here. I will always be thankful that you asked me to be your gal and that you asked me to marry you.
Although time does heal, my heart still hurts because you are gone. But I know you’re not far, because I feel you in my heart each and every single day. You’re really never far, when I think about you my heart smiles. I shall always love you with all my heart dear Alex and your heart will be with me everywhere I go.
Love, kisses and hugs,
Gracie
Awww… your beautiful post made Granny cry, Gracy, also because of the picture of your beloved Alex . He looks a little like her Angel, who is probably smiling down to Earth from the bridge, just like your angel. Sending Soft Pawkisses to make you feel better <3 <3 <3
Wow, we can’t believe either that it has been four years since Alex left. We remember him and do miss him too and Gracie, we know you miss him a lot. He was such a handsome boy.
Oh Gracie… Thank you for posting this (although you are a month early – Alex ran off to the bridge on 7/16). I know how hard it was for you to have lost Alex too. He loved you so much. I remember the day, like yesterday, he worked up the nerve to ask you out for the first time. he was so worried you’d say no, and so ecstatic when you said yes. You made him such a happy man, and i am so happy he had you and your love in his life. Oh, he loved your family too…… Read more »
