Hello everyone, how is your Saturday? I’m sure you have no to reason to remember, but several months ago it seems like we were having monsoons, heavy rain all the time. Marg was even ready to dust off the Ark and come pick us up. Well, now we’ve not had much rain at all, in fact, we’re in a severe drought situation in our neck of the woods. That leads me to a question for you today. Do any of you know how to do a rain dance?
Now I know how to do a happy dance, but I’m not even sure to where to start with a rain dance. Yes, I would like to know how to do one, but not just for the drought situation, but it would also help with the firework situation. If I could get the rain dance thing down, maybe it would pour rain all over the Independence Day Holiday and the evil fireworks would get nice and soaked and turn into duds. Then, yes then, the rain dance would turn into a happy dance. If you’re not from the South you wouldn’t understand, but those boomers are legal here and they sell those things on every corner for every holiday, literally, every corner. Plus, there is no limit as to when, which means they go on until the wee hours of the morning. That’s a good way to ruin a girls beauty sleep. Plus, I’m sure our new feral kittens will be scared kit-less.
Oh well, it’s probably wishful thinking, but if you do know how to do a rain dance, I’ll sure give it a go. Hey, it never hurts to try. Maybe I’ll have Dad check on Amazon and see if they sell kitty ear plugs. Have a fun Saturday everyone!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Drought, when you had rain a few months ago? Try a few years ago! That’s what we’re dealing with here in California, where we’ve had a few sprinkles but not a good soaking in a very long time! If you hear about any good rain dances, let us know!
We are working on a rain dance too. Our lawn looks like a desert. And it would be nice to soak all those fireworks. We hope you can figure out a rain dance and if you do, let us know. Have a fine week end.
I sure wish I knew how to do a rain dance for you. It actually looks like rain up here by us and I will try to send you some.
Zoe, you look marvelous and so does your floof 😉
Our province is under a fire ban due to drought and that includes fireworks.
The only fireworks allowed are official ones as the fire dept. is there.
We had Canada Day fireworks last night in our community. They set them off near our lake.
Even with a ban we have herd some “home” fireworks going off :/
Today, we should get some rain.
We purr you do too!
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
Maybe you guys could go pee on those corners, that will keep some of the sellers at bay
Morning Zoey…
we don’t need a rain dance here. We have had over 3″ of rain since Wednesday.
I hope and purr the fireworks aren’t to scary.
Hugs madi your bfff
Every time we plant grass seed, it rains and floods the yard, causing all the seed to float away. We shall do a special dance for you…
We try to sends some of our rains your way… it raining this weekend… pooh.
Katie Kitty Too.
My mom always wishes for rain on the 4th. She dislikes all the noise that goes on and on when she wants to sleep.
Lovely photo Zoe! We hope you get some rain soon.
Zoe, I’ll tell you. e in TN are also without rain. Frankly though mom doesn’t mind yet because we had four years of constant run and cloudy days with 90 sun days in the year! EACH! Now, we get to see the suns although it is mighty dry indeed. Here, if rain or anything occurs on the day of fireworks, they put it off for a week and THEN you get blasted with the stupid things. Mom hates them. Me too.
Tee! Hee! Mes will puts on my red high heels and comes and dace for yous! Mes was really happy…we live right beside a really big theater complex and every long weekend, yahoos have set off fireworks in the parking lot in the middle of the night and scares the $&*# out of mes, well last night (Canada Day) there was NOTHING!!!
Mes was so furry happy!
Purrhaps yous will bes lucky too!
Kisses
Nellie
We are so inundated with rain today, Zoe, we might just float all the way to your home. We are expecting about 6 inches of the wet stuff. We need the rain, but maybe not quite this much.
Hope you get some rain soon, but not too much.
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Oh, Sister Zoe…I don’t do any kind of dances at all…seriously! 🙂 Sorry I can’t help you…hope you get some rain soon!
We wish we could send you some rain ! We have to much of it here : four or five days with clouds and rain, one or two days with sun. Repeat. Since more than almost two month. Purrs
Yeah we know about those fireworks in the South…and being legal and all that. Our across the road neighbors like to shoot them off and they gone clear into our BACK yard which is some distance from where they would have been shot off. Mom doesn’t like the fireworks, unless they are left to people who are professionals. Let’s all hope for a safe and happy 4th…and rain for your neighborhood!
Zoe, let’s go and find someone who knows the rain dance. We don’t have much time. They’re already starting the fireworks in our neighborhood. It’s not legal here, but they make it legal by using the excuse of having to chase off all the birds. BOL, some of those birds are my employees.
Fireworks are illegal here, but they do it anyway. There are accidents and horror stories, but that does not stop them.
A local nurse said on the news that her dog brought her a human hand. It turned out to be the neighbor’s, who had been shooting off fireworks a couple of hours earlier. He had been taken to the hospital. True story. People. *augh*
If you find out how to do a rain dance, let us know. We are also in the same severe drought situation in the Detroit area. It’s crazy. It NEVER rains.
M says grab an umbrella and start singing and dancing to ” Singing In The Rain.” “I’m singing in the rain, just singing in the rainnn, what a glorious morning………….” It should work and produce rain for you!!!! If it doesn’t, it’s M’s fault – not mine!!!!
Good idea- we hate fireworks too. You are looking extra pretty today.
What did you guys do with all that rain you had?? Isn’t hurricane season starting soon with all the rain they should bring? I feel sorry for you with those boomers. The south loves their firearms and fire crackers. Sorry I don’t know any rain dances.
I heard on the radio that we are in drought state here in Georgia, too! We sure need some rain, and hopefully very heavy one on Independence Day! Some fireworks are already going on as I write this comment. We will see if we can find kitty ear plugs, too!
We’re in a drought here, too. And sadly, some fireworks are legal here as well. We can’t stand them. 🙁
We’ll join in the rain dance. And we’ll be UTB if you need us!
