We never lack for food at our place, and on some of us that is more obvious than on others MOL! We all are always most thankful for regular meals at regular times. Dad goes to great lengths to prepare our meals with what he thinks is our favorite yums. We really are thankful for that too.
But, after all the prep work it often turns in to a big buffet. I will eat a few bites of mine so I won’t insult the Dad. Then I go see what Sister Kit has to eat. Sister Dolly wanders to Sister Sascha’s bowl who waits to check out what I left behind. Sister Gracie, Sister Kit and I are all on the lookout for any leftover Fancy Feast Broths (Chicken).
Oh, Dad has tried preparing the meals based on our wandering to other bowls, but that didn’t work out as we ended up heading to the others anyways. The yums are always tastier on the other side of the room. Look at my photo above and you’ll see Sister Sascha finishing up what I left behind.l
Well, we seriously are thankful for the food, whether it’s the first stop or not! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We are not allowed to sample each other’s food – even though it’s mostly the same thing in each bowl (except that Binga gets all raw for dinner, and Boodie and I only get half raw and half canned). My human literally stands in the kitchen like a prison guard or something while we eat until everyone is finished. Of course, I imagine trying to handle all you kitties at mealtime is pretty much impossible! This is why my human doesn’t want more than three cats, MOL!
#1 agrees that it is a challenge to make sure that everyone eats the right thing. Sei-Chan is fed separately but we are all always on the lookout to steal her renal dry food (can you believe that?). She’s also always trying to tempt Genji with little dishes of delicious morsels. He ends up eating well but she has to always keepn an eye on him. Grazing is fun!
Purrs,
The Chans
The very same thing goes on here too. It is a hard job getting the right food to the right cat. I just hope that they all get a little bit of what they are supposed to get.
You all stay cool today.
“Food!! Glorious Food!!!” Love, Cody
A “Buffet of Yum” sounds good! I get my “buffet” throughout the day – I’ll eat a few bites of one can, then later Mom gives me something else to encourage me to eat……..then still later at dinner something else! It’s an “all day buffet” for me!!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
The Fancy Feast Chick broths are a hit here as well, but SO LITTLE in a packet –disappointing
I have one who samples all the food bowls. Have a great day.
Buffet.. WHERE? I’ll be there in 2 shakes of a cat’s tail
Hugs madi your bfff
haha have to know what is in the other bowls, could have a tiny bit better taste. May as well test it all.
I think the grass is always greener on another..plate, Brian 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Meal..Day 🙂 <3
It sounds like you all are fed very well! 🙂
Your house sounds like ours 🙂 It takes my husband and I both to secure everyone at meals.
Oh my goodness! Yes, that’s a challenge. Pierrot likes to do the same thing and that’s only one kitty. Well, the food dish is always tastier when it belongs to someone else! It’s so nice of your dad to prepare yummy foods for all of you!
We do that too – it is always better in the next bowl! Love the new blog look. Thanks for your visit and comments for Sweetpea.
Such a good dad
Isn’t it the truth though, that the food is yummier on another kit’s bowl?
At our house, we all have our own bowls with our own food, even the cats. No sharing allowed.
Claire agrees, she stands in the kitchen and watches us closely while we’re eating our breakfast to be sure that I eat my chicken necks and Pixie eats her tiny pieces of heart and liver. Purrs
Love reading your blog, keep up the posts!
Oh Mum has that ALL the time!!! Only dusty stys put and eats all of his food, but he’s a stray and thankful for his every meal.
It’s good to see you Brian!

We could never get served buffet-style because Ciara would lose out totally. Lightning eats so fast and he has no problem sticking his nose in her bowl. Mom is pretty good about making us each our own food:) But we think your style could be very tasty:)
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Sounds like you all enjoy the food each other gets. Eric and I had separate bowls but would usually eat from the same one, then when that was empty we would eat from the other bowl.
mol! that is funny, Brian. we all have to eat in separate quarters otherwise the piggier and pushier of us will get it all 😀
pip, smidgen, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto
Y’know…we do that too even though our foods are the same. Funny, it tastes better in somebuddy else’s bowl. 😉
I’d never survive at your house Brian. I like to take a few bites and then come back later for a few more bites and keep doing that until I’ve had enough. It could take hours.
Brian your buffet of yum sounds like musical foods! That sounds likes fun dinner time. Me has Sheba salmon all to myself.. But them big boys at uncle mikes house they eat out of each others dishes alla time likes somebody musta got somethin different… Nope all da same! Katie Kitty Too
What hours are the buffet open there? We would love to come and sample!

We have that crazy over here too . . . and then you add the two dogs trying to get into ALL the bowls and you get why our Mama looks so frazzled all the time :p
the critters in the cottage xo
Sounds like mealtime is quite the adventure over there. I have to “lock up” poor Sophie in a room because she wants to sample other plates and isn’t allowed to.
hello brian its dennis the vizsla dog hay yoo kannot go rong with a buffay!!! espeshly not a buffay of yum!!! ok bye
PepiSmartDog: we’ve had lots of changes in food serving too. We 2 heavy weight kittehs and little Suki is on a special get-fat diet, which is the complete opposite to Apple and Tahni. At night time we bring in big tubs of cat grass to get them through the night and they really like that. 🙂
Thank you for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop each week.
Hope to see you again this week too. *waves paw* :=o)
