There is still time to enter our giveaway of the new Tom Cox book “Close Encounters of the Furred Kind”, open to all, Details on my post here.
What do you get when you combine pork with ham, salt, water, modified potato starch, sugar, and sodium nitrite? Spam of course! Ya gotta love that sodium nitrate, yum! Well, there are different types of spam, as we all know.
I’ve pretty much given up on having my comments treated as spam on WordPress blogs. Some blogs I visit weren’t affected at all, some were sometimes, and the same blogs posted my comments just fine the next time. It’s still happening too. I will try commenting with an alternate email address and without my blog URL this week and we’ll see what happens. Technology can be very purrflexing, at times, don’t you think? You can tell it even made my right eye a bit weepy. My Mom took care of it for me though, with a nice soft tissue. Dang, I hope I’m not allergic to humans!
Anyways, guess what else? I was helping Mom read the ads from the Sunday paper yesterday and our local Hobby Lobby is advertising Christmas stuff. Seriously. It must be time for me to start bugging the Dad to put our Christmas Tree up. I’d hate to be late for my favorite holiday!
Y’all have a mighty fine week and have lots of fun too! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
That’s a bummer about the spam stuff. I usually see your posts in my regular (not spam) comments.
I checked my spam folders, seems you are free, at least at my blog :o)
It sure is that time for christmas stuff, our stores are armed with gingerbread and chocolate santas… well the mama bought them anyway even when they melt away in this heat :o)
Sorry you are having issues with spam. That’s no fun at all.
That spam stuff is a huge pain. Brian, I think it is just a tad too early for a Christmas tree. But it might be fun to have it up for a very long time. You all try to stay cool today.
Christmas stuff? Way too early. Sorry about the spam. Have a great week.
Stupid glitch can make you seem like spam and treat you like toe jam. Can’t miss the ho ho ho
Ugh! Hope it clears up for you and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not Christmas! OMG! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not yet!
We find it sad to see Christmas stuff this time of year. What about all the holidays before Christmas. It really ruins the holiday and proves how commercialized it has become. On the Spam thing…maybe you need to visit the home of Spam right here in MN. I bet they have tips on how to get out of the Spam can!
Sorry to hear about your commenting issue. Technology can be quite perplexing indeed.
Wow, Christmas ads already? I saw Halloween stuff in the store the other day and thought it was very early!
Up to now I have been lucky and not had any spam.
Yep, it gets earlier every year. By the time Christmas finally gets here you are completely sick of hearing about it. Commercialism has ruined it for all of us.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems about the spam issue. Wish I could help, but blogs are not my area of expertise.
Yes, August is way too early to start selling Christmas stuff. Probably, in a few years, stores will be running Christmas ads right after the first of the year.
Brian we saw a lot of place doing this strange thing called CHristmas in July sales and it seems just plain weird to see lighted trees and ornaments and wrapping papers in JULY!
We are sorry about the spam. We hope it clears up with the changes you are making.
Natal!! Nós só começamos a ouvir sobre natal a partir de outubro. hihi
OMC Brian, Christmas ads? We’s say stuffs fur halloween and wondered what in da world was happenin’. It’s still summer fur cats sake, why are da stores rushin’ it? Soon peeps won;t ever take da Christmas tree down, huh? Well, stay cool and have a pawsum day. Big hugs fur all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Pork and Ham make spam and you be ‘da man Brain
Hugs madi your bfff
Hmmm, spam and Christmas stuff. There’s got to be a connection there somewhere!
Mama’s mouth just watered when she read SPAM. She’s one of those few people that love spam, but she only eats it when she’s sick (flu or colds).
Today I DID find three of your comments in my spam folder on the blog but I’m constantly checking it so always get the comments no matter what and tell stupid WordPress they ARE NOT SPAM. Who knows what weird stuff happens in cyberspace – the point is I see your comments and you make them and THAT’s THAT my friend!!!!!!!
Love and Hugs, SPAM – oops I mean SAM
We hope you can get that silly spam issue worked out – that must be so frustrating.
Mom says our Hobby Lobby has been adding aisles and aisles of Christmas stuff since the Fourth of July, along with Halloween and Thanksgiving. Guess they want to cover all their bases.

We haven’t seen you in our spam in a couple weeks now, and we hoped the issue was gone. Rats!
If you convince your humans to put your Christmas tree now, let us know. We would really enjoy having ours back, too.
Well, your comment finally made it through to my blog yesterday, so that’s progress! I just feel bad you have to deal with that annoying and time consuming issue!
Computers and the internet can be so glitchy. I have one person that comments on my blog fairly often, with the same e-mail address, and her comment goes to my moderation folder every single time. I have not been able to figure out why!
Oh dear, Christmas – we do not even want to think about that!
You were showing up as spam for us, Brian, but it seems to have straighten out now. We can’t believe there are Christmas ads already. It’s still summer!
Sorry about the Spam Brian. I think it is a little bit too early for the Christmas tree. Craft stores start early because some crafts take a long time to make so people need to start that stuff early.
Not Christmas already. Have you axed the blog owners to white list you? Sometimes you get on a black list for no reason at all. I’m glad I’m on Blogger so I can read your comments.
Sorry to hear about your spam problems, Brian. My Big Janitor Dad used to eat spam a long time ago but doesn’t know if he would still like it! I certainly like to lie down under our Christmas Tree at Christmas time but it’s not that time yet. It isn’t even time for me to lie down under our Halloween Tree! August is the time to lie down in sunshine, I believe!
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrs, Spike William
We tried Spam once an it was “innerestin”. But TBT doesn’t buy it.
Be sure ta come ta my 6th Birfday Pawty tomorrow 16th! It may be our best yet… ~ MARLEY
Sorry to hear about that spam issue, Brian. How frustrating!
Christmas in August? Yikes. Just yikes.
Christmas ? Now ? Nononononononononooooo ! Purrs
Good luck getting that tree up, Brian. We pray you aren’t allergic to anything! We had yours comment end up in our spam folder two days in a row, but they have come through fine since. Technology…can’t live with it, can’t live without it! PFFFFT! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

My granny used to give us fried spam all the time, and we loved it.
They’ve had Christmas stuff out for two weeks!
