Mancat Monday: 3 Things I Don’t Like About Fall

35 Comments on Mancat Monday: 3 Things I Don’t Like About Fall

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it! There’s something about Fall in the South, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. You just never know from year to year what you’re going to get.  I saw on some of my friends blogs that they already had some cold weather in their neck of the woods.

So, since I live in the South and it’s luck of the draw, here are 3 things I don’t like about Fall.

  1. It’s still hot here, dang hot.
  2. Someone comes late at night and steals the leaves from our trees.
  3. Winter comes next and winter in the South is not fun.

We used to look forward to window whiffies in the Fall but with 2 kitties with asthma the windows remain shut.  How about you?  Do you have cooler weather for your Fall?  Would you please have a window whiffie for me?

Have a fun week everyone!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

    It is certainly cooler here.
Mum had to turn the furnace on for a bit to take the chill off the air.
Window wiffies are “fresh”(another word for bracing)
The daytime temps are nice, but cooler than yours 🙂

Who has cooler temperatures?? Can they please send some our way? MOL! We were still in the 90s last week!

The Mom misses the Fall – we seem to have Summer and Winter here in CO and nothing in between. The Mom really doesn’t like Winter, either, ’cause it’s “too cold and sloshy.”

  3. Marg

We will sure be glad for some cooler temps but sure not looking forward to the winter temps. We don’t like winter either. You all have a great day.

  4. Sammy

Our Fall has begun although if it’s our usual kind of Virginia Fall, it will be here for a week (today it’s 60) then the next week it goes up into the 80s….the trees AND all of us are confused! We just go with the flow – what else can we do – but I do like COOLER weather so I’m just hanging in and waiting patiently for ONE or the OTHER to stay!

    Hugs, Sammy

  5. Emma

We love fall with the cooler weather and thankfully our window open a lot. Winter is also one of the best times of year for us with the cold and snow. Even cat bro Bert enjoys it because he loves napping in front of the fireplace.

  6. Madi

Brian no window whiffs here either. Mainly because of the pollen and the fact that it is just too hot too early to even bother opening the windows
We have very nice temps today it is a tad overcast but after the hot hot days of summer I’m glad to see
    some cloud cover and rain
    Hugs madi your bfff

  7. Elliot and Cricket

We love the pretty leaves on the trees but not the cold weather. Cricket is already having to wear a fleece body warmer because she has no hair or fat to keep her warm.

It’s still hot here, too! And mosquitos are still around. I hope they will leave already. But we love autumn when it gets a bit cooler 🙂

  9. mommakatandherbearcat

I’m not a fan of fall. I like the cooler temperatures because I have an excuse to snuggle with my Momma, but she also starts wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts and it’s hard to express my furry fury with so much fabric in the way!

  10. Colehaus Cats

Ugh, we don’t like the dang hots at all. We know where the leaves go. They seem to all show up in our yard and then our Mom and Dad go out and vacuum them up. They do this three or four times because not all the leaves are on the same flight. Today is supposed to be the last day of summer here and the cooler weather is supposed to be here tomorrow. But you know how right those weather people ever are….

oh you poor baby!! Yes we are finally cool!!!!! YAY! Our windows are open, but don’t feel bad……..that sometimes means an allergy episode for Cody might be on the way.

  13. The OP Pack

We can understand your frustration with the closed windows. Maybe you can get Dad to put you in one closed door room for a while each nice day and open a window:)

We have a gloriously beautiful day here today, temps in the 70s and bright sunny skies. Just delightful.

Oh Brian, we too be in da South, so it’s still hot here too. We had a “cold front” this weekend, but fankfully we have air conditionin’ cuz it was still hot. With mommy’s allergies we don’t open windows either. But since we do get to go out, we do get some whiffies. Big hugs fur all. Have a great day.

    Luv ya’

  15. Laila and Minchie

We are loving the cooler fall weather that arrived here overnight. We are sorry you can’t have your windows open, Brian, but asthma is no fun for your sisters who suffer from it. We will take some whiffies for you!

  16. The Poupounette Gang

It’s beginning to get cooler here, especially at night. You’re right about not knowing what to expect, though. We haven’t has a “real” winter in several years, and this past summer was a little strange…

    Purrs,
    The Chans

  17. Diane

Sorry it’s still hot there. We put our summer stuff away with 60s by day and 40s by night. Someone will be stealing our leaves next month as well:(

  18. Fraidy Cats!

Brian, you look so serious. according to our temperatures, it is still summer where we are in NorCal 🙂 we can usually get window whiffies in the morning and night, so we’ll sniff extra for you 🙂 purrs,

pip, smidgen, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto

  19. Raven

I think the saddest part of your post is that you aren’t able to have any window whiffies. None at all? Can’t those of you who are non-asthmatic go into a bathroom and have the window open in there? We have a couple HEPA filters we can run in the house, but I don’t know if something like that would be useful for you. Maybe you’ll have to have your dad carry you outside for some fresh airs every now and then.

Our fall is usually pleasant. We have cool evenings and warm (sometimes hot) days. It’s still about 90 here during the day, but the evenings are in the 50s so I get lots of open window time.

  20. Little Binky and Granny

Grandpaw is happy that it is cooler now, but Granny and I are not. We both love Summer and with 10 till 12 degrees Celcius at night and in the morning, we both are freezing out here! Here comes Extra Windy Pawkisses to you all 🙂 <3

  21. Flynn

It is not hot here! We have had rain every day and the T is mid 50s. October is usually a better month for us so hopefully it will do the same this year. Someone steals our leaves too. Do you think it could be Not Me?

  22. Cathy Keisha

TW has Fall allergies but she thinks mine may be Spring so she’s had the windows cracked. We also had that cart smelling of formaldehyde and we had to get the smell out of the condo. We hate Fall cos it means shorter days and colder weather. Now when I get up for breakfast it’s real dark.
