Okay everyone, if you’ve followed my blog for a while you will know that I love a good maniped, seriously! I know some of you don’t like to have those claws clipped, but I do and I’ll give a great big purr whenever it happens. My Mom says I have needle sharp claws and since I love to fluff her leg it’s important that I don’t leave needle marks. Who me?
When I was offered the opportunity to review the Zen Clipper I jumped at the chance. Well, the Dad did. There tagline is Clips the Tip Not the Quick, and y’all know how important that is so that no blood spills happens.
Zen Clipper makes it easy to get it just right. I received the measuring card in the mail, but they also have it available on their website so you can print it off and measure. There are seven sizes available to match just about any claw size. All Dad did was stick my claw tip through the holes to find the one that let the tip only through and not the quick. The clipper is sized accordingly. So, you see, you really do get just the tip and not the quick.
So, how did it work out for me? Purrfect….
I was quite impressed and as you can see I was not at all bothered by the process. Aren’t you impressed. They are so easy to use and if you follow the sizing directions it makes it a piece of cake!
I do totally recommend the Zen Clipper and please do check out their website HERE. Thanks to the humans at Zen Clipper for letting me give them a try.
DISCLOSURE: I received the Zen Clipper free of charge for my honest opinion, which is always the case here.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We like that those clippers remove guesswork 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
I should check this out! My human has gotten my quick a couple of times and while it wasn’t bad, it was not fun!
That sure looks like a great deal. Don’t know if any of the cats here would let me do that. But it would be worth a try. You all have a great day.
We are always surprised at how many kitties have to be taken to the vet to get their claws clipped. #1 got us all used to it when we were tiny and we also all purr whilst she’s doing it. That Zen Clipper does look useful. We use a clipper she got in Japan many years ago, with a slightly curved up tip, and it works really well. #1 says the only time she has ever drawn blood was the first time she used it, more than 20 years ago!
Happy Monday!
Purrs,
The Chans
you are so good for your manicure! We have to catch lucy when she is out cold asleep!
that sounds like a very helpful tool… maybe we can avoid the vet visit for nail clipping with that tool too?
OH MY CATS IT TAKES TWO ADULTS TO CLIP MY CLAWS…DAD HOLDS ME AND MOM DOES THE THE CLIPPING
THESE LOOK ESPECIALLY EASY AND CONVENIENT.
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFFF
That sure sounds easier than using the human ones. Although we tend to need to be sat on and make it a two human job haha
Yes, I’m impressed by your easy acceptance of the clippers, but I’m not sure those clippers would help us with our cats because they simply don’t like to be picked up, especially our Gracie.
We’ve seen these advertised, and they look terrific. We are not fans of the nail clip, and Mom always gets too nervous to try it. Since our vet does it for free, we usually just get packed up and taken there. That works for Mom, but we don’t like it. Maybe your review will encourage her to try it. My kitties are not fans of getting their nails done, but it happens every two weeks. They get sharp as needles.
I never minded the manipedi thing either……..Dad held me and Mom clipped. Those clippers look like “sure things” but then after 17 years of clipping my Mom had the whole thing DOWN and knew just how to whack my nails to the right length!!
Hugs, Angel Sammy
You do look remarkably calm and dignified, Brian! Either the Nip was good or the clippers … I’m guessing the clippers 🙂
WOW! I act like they were coming with a chopping block to remove my whole LEG for pete sakes!
You do look very calm getting your nails clipped. Rosie has super sharp claws, too, and gosh does she make a big stink when we try to clip them.
Great review, Brian! We’ll have to check out the Zen Clipper – we need a good pair of clippers for the sugar gliders’ nails. Perhaps this is the ticket!
Mom placed that order like she was on fire!!
Those are great clippers, as long as you have a cat patient enough to have their claw slid into the opening.
I’ve been lucky to have cats that don’t mind nail trimming. Usually they’d sit on my lap, or even lay on their back on my lap and snooze while I trimmed their claws.
What a marvelous idea…that card is DA BOMB!
The Zen Clipper looks like a good clipper. We have a similar one, but we don’t get a pawdicure very often as we go outside. Purrs
Thanks for the purrview… nice to know that there are clippers now that fit the claws being clipped.
Thank you Zen Clipper for thinking about out furbabies.
Purrz, Katie Kat
Those clippers sound like they work very well. We go to the vets to get our nails trimmed – Mom is a scaredy cat:) But maybe even she could manage the Zen Clipper.

I will let D clip my nails, but i doin’t like it much when M does it. i don’t know why. M tries to hold me the same way D does, but I still don’t like it. Maybe it’s because D and I have a special bond and he’s my favorite human cuz I chose him to take me home with him. .
We have a Zen clipper and Mommy really likes it. Nice review.
We are thinking maybe our mom needs to check one of those out instead of using human nail clippers.
Brian, we’re glad to say that our mom gets kinda timid when trying to clip our claws. It’s really easy to get her to give up! Only William was empathetic enough to let her do it.
Parece um bom produto.
A Violeta detesta cortar as garras, ela sempre morde e arranha, fica muito nervosa.
That’s a great idea!
Have a super week…
Noodle and crew
Kirby is the only one that will let me clip his claws, and then he has to be sleeping on the couch with me. Angel and Max do like me touching their feet!
What a brave calm kitty to sit so still!
That looks like a great clipper.
Wowwzers!
Mommy clips my claws with her nail clippers! Wes usually clips our nails at the same time but thoose look totally cool!
Kisses
Nellie
The mom says she needs to get some clippers like this. We told her no. But we don’t think she’ll listen to us.
That clip looks very easy, Brian, even though you look not really happy with it 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3
We reviewed those too and they’re great. They also have really good customer service, from what I’ve experienced.
Dat’s pawsum Brian. We too got a pair of those clippers, but we don’t like nail groomin’ and unfurtunately with mommys bad eyesight and our hissin’ and squirmin’, she can’t get those on our claws. But we do agree, they’re pawsum ifin you can use ’em. Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
These look so great! I am always paranoid about hurting Samantha or the dogs when doing nail clips. We might have to give these a try.
Mom just flips me upside down on her lap and clips mine. She will have to keep this in mind when her clippers need replaced. Thanks Brian!
