Hello everyone, guess what? I finally got to see the newbies. Yes, every single time the gates have been up or the door is open with no gates I’ve been snoozing. I know, you snooze, you lose, and that would be me. Just the other day the gates were up and I was wide awake so I ventured down the hall to peek in the bedroom. Sure enough that boy cat was parked right by the gate. Oh, I hissed before I realized that wasn’t the polite thing to do. The nerve though, he didn’t even flinch. I thought it was a pretty good hiss, but he didn’t seem at all bothered by it. I promise, I’ll be more polite next time, I don’t wanted to get tagged with that Queen Hissyface title since I’m such a sweet gal.
I really can’t wait until they come out and have the run of the house. Seriously, that means I’ll have access to the favorite brushing perch back in the bathroom. I do sure miss the brushing perch. I’m very happy that the Mom rescued my brush from the off-limits place and brushes me every single night in the living room. It’s not quite the same but it sure beats no brushing at all. Most of us are ready for the doors to be open and things to get back to normal. Brian says that when the door stays open that we will have a new normal. With the young newbies he might be right, but please don’t tell him I said that. They both will have to realize that Dad’s lap is totally mine when the peeps eat dinner each night, mine, mine, mine. I’ll share other things with them though, really I will.
I hope you all have a great Saturday and funny, the gates are not up and the door is not closed. Hmmmmmm! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I am sure you will all be great pals in no time,xx Speedy
Dolly, I hope the newbies don’t put too much of a crimp in your treasured routines!
Your dad supervises the twosome carefully, they will not scare you!!!
We think you were just surprised when you saw the boy cat in the bedroom. Anyway, it doesn’t hurt to give him a little warning. Simon is a cutie patootie. You all have a great day.
You have the right idea, Dolly. When youngsters are involved, it’s best to make the “rules” clear right from the start. We’re sure all will go well, but be careful of that monster tail on the new boy!
Purrs,
The Chans
Oh boy! Both of your newbies are adorable and I think you ALL will get along just fine…….I really do…….!

Dolly parece que você está pronta para receber os seus novos irmãos, vai ser legal
compartilhar “quase tudo” com eles! hihi
Cafunés para você, menina doce!
Dolly, you have gorgeous eyes! I’m sure those new guys will let you keep your place during people dinner, because I bet they don’t want to bring out the hissy in you!
I’m sure you will be a good sister to the new kitties.
Hello pretty SIster Dolly! I bet you will enjoy meeting nose to nose with those two newbies!
You should apply to be the poster cat for “you snooze you lose”. I think it happens to lots of kitties. You are not alone!
Getting things back to normal is good; and new normals can be fun too! It doesn’t hurt to let the newbies know they have to respect the senior household members; but we think you will remember to more polite next time, Sister Dolly. ♥
Dolly, we have the same thing happening here. Cooper approaches one of us and we hiss. But it doesn’t phase him at all. At least he’s not pushy. You look totally gorgeous today. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Dont worry, Dolly. You’ll be able ta teach the young’ns manners when you can finally get at them.
Sister Dolly you are sooo gorgeous! You will have those little ones eating out of your paw any day now!! xoxo
I think they already have learned to act like…cat, Dolly ? ? Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend☺❤
We hope you’ll be friends with the newbies in no time, Dolly. We’re sure you will teach them all the ins and outs. 🙂
I am sure you will all get along great and you will still have Daddy’s lap.
Don’t you worry Dolly – you are way to sweet to ever be mistaken for Queen Hissyface
You’re right to be jealous of your dad’s lap. Dads are not to be shared. When TW shared to adopt another cat, I let her play with my toys and climb all over TW but when Pop came home she was the enemy.
Dolly, you are so beautiful with those beautiful eyes and furs! We know your Daddy will keep his lap just for you and the newbies will listen to you too, just you wait and see! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
First, that is a fabulous photo of you, Dolly! Ah, your eyes are amazing! And, I’m so glad that you got to see the newbies. I’m sure that you were surprised, and you’ll be way more polite next time!
Mes hisses…lots and at everything! Mes thinks its pretty normal when wes startled. And mes sure the newbies will understand the dinner/lap rules…if not there is always a smacky paw!
Kisses
Nellie
Oh Dolly, dat’s pawsum mews. Glad things are goin’ well. And we’re glad you’ll get your brushin’ purrch back. We’re not huge fans pf da brushin’ altho’ Raena does seem to be shamefully all ’bout anythin’ mommy wants to do to her. Well except maybe bloomer washin’. Da girl doesn’t like dat at all. And she can contirt in ways dat don’t even seem natural to a kitty. MOL Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
What beautiful eyes you have, Dolly! Am sure you’ll get along with Seal and Simon.
