Tabby Tuesday: The Kitten Formerly Known as Five

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Blogging?  I don’t even know what that is, could it be a toy?  Somebody slipped me a note under the bedroom door and said it was my turn to be on the blog today. A little while later the same paw slipped an iPad under the door with a note that said “check it out little boy”.  I touched it and that Pad thing came to life.  Blogging 101 came up.  Hmmmmm, I can probably do this thing.

Okay, it says pick your topic.  Huh?  I know, I’ll tell you a little about me today. Next it says if you’re new then introduce yourself.  Okay…

Hello, my name is Simon

Yes, Simon, the kitten formerly known as Five.  If you want to see when I first showed up here I am the last photo on this post HERE.  I sure was hungry, lost, but glad to see some food.  I was a wee regular at the feeding station and was best pals with another wee one who looked Siamese to me.

Anyways, I was quite the regular, then one day some strange looking silver things were in the yard and they had food in them.  I did notice that those that went in to get a bite couldn’t get out, but since I wasn’t hungry I didn’t pay much attention to it.  Then my Siamese pal went in and she was pretty upset that she couldn’t get out.

Well, I watched her for the longest time and finally I got a bit hungry myself. I went in that silver thing and I couldn’t get out either.  Then some humans started picking up those silver things.  I didn’t know where we were going, but at least I was going with my friend.

The next thing I knew I woke up and was a bit groggy.  Oh, I wasn’t happy.  I was at a Vet place and I was what was called a feral terror.  Hey, my Siamese pal was here in the same cage with me though, but she was being nice to the humans who kept sticking their hands n the cage.  Not me though, nope, wasn’t happening.

Hey, there’s a note under the door…be right back.  The note says I need to wrap it up soon.  Huh?  Oh well.  Anyways, someone who is now my new Dad came to pick both of us up from the Vet place.  He took us to the place we knew, but only from the outside, now we’re on the inside.  He put us in a small room, which I trashed immediately.

Oh wait, another note under the door.  It says get it done.  Okay.  Anyways, I was a wild one, and not very friendly.  Now, I love nothing more than to be petted and if ignored I’m not shy about asking for it.  I have a super loud purr motor and use it often.  I love my new Dad and Mom and I hear I will be out and about with the others before too long.  I don’t know how many are out there for sure, but one of the notes under the door said never, ever go up the stairs.

Anyways, sorry to go on so long, turns out I had a lot to say and I might like this blogging thing.  Oh, the Siamese is here with me and her name is Seal.  She’s taking notes as her turn is coming up Saturday.  See you soon.

Oh, another note.  Hang on.  Okay. Brian’s Home, adopt cats, we deserve it! Who is Brian?  Oops, another note.

SImon! I like your name and you definitely look more like a Simon than a Five! Welcome HOME. You will live “THE LIFE” there with Brian and his family and I suspect you and Seal already know that! Good job with the blog.

    Love, Angel Sam

Oh Simon, you are too too cute. We love tabby cats. So glad the Dad there in the house got you all fixed up and is letting you stay in the house. Can’t wait for you to be out an about so we can see more of you. We are also so glad you have Seal with you.

SIMON you handsome boy! Welcome to the CB. Love meeting you. And I love your first blog. Can’t wait to hear from the others as well. You sure don’t look like you were a terror- but I believe you. You and Seal came to the best place in the whole wide world to be and NO! Do not go up the stairs. There is a totally beautiful woman cat up there, yes, but she is the sole Ruler of upstairs and never grants an audience with anyone but your mom and dad. xxxooo

  6. Diane

Simon is a much cooler name than Five although George from Seinfeld might like Five better since he wanted to name his first child Seven! LOL What a handsome boy you are and so happy that you adapted so well to indoors and humans.

Hi Simon…it is nice to have an official introduction. We thought Five was a cute, if unconventional, name, but we like Simon as well. You have caught on to blogging quickly, and we look forward to hearing more from you. You are totally adorable, and we can see why your Mom and Dad wanted you to move inside and become a permanent part of the family. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona. You did a great job writing your first blog, Simon, and I like your official name. That’s quite a story you told about your life, and I’m sure you’re more than happy the way it has turned out.

  16. Raven

Simon, that was a fantastic first post. I think you’re a natural blogger. I’m so happy you are safe and happy inside your new home. I wonder if going upstairs is like going into a scary attic or basement. I think it’s best you mind your Dad and not attempt that adventure.

  17. Socks, Scylla, Fenris, Tuiren, YinYang & Chimera (ATCAD)

Hi Simon, we have to say we like Simon much better than Five. Five made us think of the Borg and we are sort of scared of them even though Mommy says they are made up. We are glad you like to be petted. You will LOVE LOVE your family. Just listen to Brian and do what he says and you will fit in purrfectly. He is so happy to have a brother cat again.

Yin, Yang and Chimera are around your age and they are looking forward to hanging out with you in Blogville.
