Well, the gates are down and the doors are open. That not only means that Brother Simon and Sister Seal can go out and about, it also means that the rest of us can go into the big bedroom and bathroom once again.
I hopped up on the black bench to look out into the backyard like I used to do on a regular basis. Apparently my tail looked too much like a wand toy to Brother Simon because he kept trying to grab it. I had to remind him that the wand toy wasn’t and that it was attached to me. Yes, I was polite, as you can tell, I just gave him the look.
Anyways, Brother Simon has been out and has been in the living room, kitchen and dining room, so he’s had quite the tour since the gates are down. Sister Seal is a little more reserved but she has been out and about. Needless to say, going gateless has kept us all fairly busy. In case you were wondering, everything is going quite well with the newbies and there hasn’t been any major problems at all.
Speaking of Brother Simon, he did see something he really wasn’t expecting, maybe I’ll ask him to tell you about it tomorrow. Have a fun week everyone!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We love to read about you guys going gateless!
We wonder how Brother Simon would react to someone using his tail as a wand toy! OR maybe a kickaroo???
Purrs,
The Chans
That’s right, you need to make those two understand the rules of the house, Brian! They’re youngsters, they will learn.
Oh boy, now the fun begins and we purr it is only fun 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Good job Brian, teaching Simon that tails are not toys. He will figure it out. That is so great that everything is going so well. Have a great day.
Better watch out! That sweet Simon may turn into a holy terror around your house!
Simon says… a lot with his tail LOL
Speaking of tails, just LOOK at that tailio on Simon!
haha have to protect the tail. Great that everyone is getting along and you can get your view once more.
Oh kittens, Brian! They love to play with their elders tails…guess it’s the universal first toy for every baby cat.
I am so enjoying reading about the introduction process. You have the coolest furramily ever
You two are cute. And we’re glad you’re working out your … umm … differences 🙂
I’m pretty sure the two of you will be playing in no time and all the girls will roll their eyes (or join in!!!).
Don’t forget about Seal, Simon … she needs you too!
We would think that floofy tail of Simon’s would be getting some attention. That looks like the best wand toy ever. We are happy to hear that things are going well. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
MOLMOL for sure your tail is not a wand toy. We can hardly wait to hear what Simon Says tomorrow.
(we crack ourselves up).
Hugs madi your bfff
I am happy that everyone is out and about. Keep an eye on your tail, though. ☺
You are a great brother Brian. It’s nice you don’t get annoyed with the little ones. Elliot says, we big brothers have a lot to put up with!
Elliot and Cricket x
We know you were not rude to Simon, You are to much a gentleman cat
Good for you, Brian, giving him THE look. You might need to be a little patient with your new brother. He’ll catch on soon and we hope you’ll teach him about watching Bird TV from your bench.
We’re glad to read that everything is going well since you are going gateless. Good job teaching Simon that tails are not toys ! Purrs
Your tail…
Looked like…
Wand toy…
MOUSES!
Looks like Simon never saw a “tail” he didn’t like:)
Not that I don’t love the rest of you guys, but I love seeing the new sibs and reading their adventures. Maybe Simon wasn’t sure it was a tail since he’s used to seeing bushy tails like his own.
We like that your new brother has already learned what “the look” means! We’re so happy things are going smoothly with the integration!
Brian, keep up the good work teaching Simon how to be a good kitty. He certainly has a fluffy tail!
Brian, you just tell Brother Simon that his tail is a pretty big target so he had best behave or there will be payback:)
Glad to hear you are gateless and hope all continues to go well.
Woos – Lightning and Misty
We can’t wait to see what Brother simon has seen. Nice to know that all’s going well with all of you.
You are very polite, Brian. If someone tries to grab someone’s tail, it usually leads to whapping war here. Glad things are going so well 🙂
I just have the feeling that going gateless will be a big success.
We’re glad things are going well with the newbies. Brian, it must be nice having another boy in the house.
So awesome!!! Glad the gatelessness is going well! We look forward to hearing about Brother Simon’s experience tomorrow!
Brian, for some reason new kids always think our tails are toys. Especially mine!
~Elliott.
Dat’s pawsum mews Brian. What is it with these youngsters and our tails? Me has to check Raena still ’bout dat. Me’s sure she’ll be by tomorrow to see Simon. Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
You are such a good and patient brother.
Your human was so careful and gradual in introducing Simon and Seal. It sounds as if that patience really paid off. I’m happy for all of you!
We’re so excited to hear that the borders are open 😀 Great adventures to come…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3
So glad things are going well. We need to use “the look” on Yang he thinks every cat (except Socks) wants to wrestle with him.
Wow, that tail is just so floofy!!!
But it was so tempting! 🙂
Glad gateless is going well 🙂
That is so awesome!
