Mancat Monday: Weekends Are Hot, Weekends Are Cold

36 Comments on Mancat Monday: Weekends Are Hot, Weekends Are Cold

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Several of you mentioned the weird weather you’ve been having.  Let me tell you, we’re right there with you.  This past weekend was a prime example, as opposed to a non-prime example.  The temperature was 78 degrees F on Saturday and then on Sunday morning it as 30 degrees F.  It’s going to be winter temps for a couple days and then the warm comes back.

The poor ferals have been confused by it all too.  One day they are basking in the sunny yard and the next day they are in the heated house keeping warm. They did know the cold was coming back and they loaded up on food Saturday evening.

Hey, one other thing before I go and it has to do with Brother Simon.  Several of you thought he had his tail poofed up.  Nope, that’s what is tail looks like in normal mode.  We’ve not seen that tail poofed up yet, can you imagine?

Have a fun week everyone and I hope to see lots of you at our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I bet Simon’s tail would be pretty spectacular if it were poofed up! But I’m glad it hasn’t been!

We sure agree, the weather has been very weird but we aren’t complaining. We love the warm parts. You all have a great day.

If that tail were fluffed up it would be more than a swifter duster! It is awesome!

Our temps were the same. 78 on the high and 28 on the low that Saturday night. T=The freeze killed the town’s Tulip Poplar blossoms. The trees are covered with brown dead petals now.

The weather sure is wonky. His tail puffed up would sure be hard to see around.

If Simon’s tail poofs up, we will all know as it will shade the entire country from the sun with its size!

Wow, that is an impressive tail if that’s its normal state! Hope the weather normalizes for the ferals.

The weather has been crazy here too. We had the 78 degrees and the next day it was time for winter jackets. Yups that was confusing to be sure. One day I get limited walkies due to the heat and my heavier winter haircut. (Mom’s worried I’d overheat) The next day I get to hike to Timbuktu. Yups strange indeed.
We’d like to thank you for visiting us over here @The Fast and The Furriest we love our new furiends

At least the ferals have the heated house your Dad so thoughtfully provided.

Brian, each day is an adventure! Do I wear a wool sweater, or short-sleeves? One day, the friendly feral’s water bucket is frozen over, the next day it stays liquid all night. In a way, it’s kind of fun, rather than day after day after day of dreariness, but I feel sorry for folks who’ve been hit by bad storms.

Always a pleasure to see you, Brian! Yes, we’ve had messed up weather too – spring is trying to get a foothold, but can’t. Simon’s tail is the most magnificent tail I’ve seen, EVER … we all know that it’s not the size of the tail that matters … but how you use it – and Simon seems to have mastered that too!

We have the same issue with erratic weather in AZ. We are so glad we have the heating pads in the kitty condos for them when it is chilly/dreary.

The thought of Simon’s tail poofed up is almost too much to bear!

We’ve been having nasty weather over here. Lots of rains and high winds today. #1 wouldn’t even open up the cat run flap today!

Oh, thanks for telling us that about Simon’s tail….I really wondered about that – he has quite the tail! If he ever poofs it up, please share a photo, that would really be something! 🙂

Your weather is crazy! We just had the wettest February ever since records were started and not a single day above 59F, unlike the past couple of years. Not much sun this month and in fact, there’s a mix of snow and rain going on right this very minute outside! That makes seven snow sightings at our house since December and we live where snow is rare! Hope you get some more sun soon!

Oh da poor ferals. We don’t even know how to act with all this weird weather. This weekend was freezin’ cold and then today we’re runnin’ da a/c and all sprawled out with our tummies up. Mommy says it’s crazy but it’s also winter in da South. As fur Simon, we knew dat. he has a tail like us, all floof all da time. ‘Specially when it’s flyin’ high and purroud. Mommy says it’s like our furs stand to attention. Altho’ we have also added hissy floof to our tails on an occasion or two. MOL Hope ya’ll get a… Read more »
