Mancat Monday: Supervising the Simonproofing

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Our weekend was pretty good, but it’s never really uneventful with the newbies.  My Sister Seal is pretty laid back, but boy my Brother Simon is pretty much into everything.

I’ve been helping the Dad lots by supervising the Simonproofing that has been going on.  Why?  Did you see the paws on that little dude?  He knows how to use them too and can open just about any cabinet or any drawer.  So, the Dad has slowly been putting Simonproof locks on all the cabinets and drawers.  Dad put them on the cabinets and drawers in the big bathroom and they sure kept Simon out of where he isn’t suppose to be, and yes, it frustrated him.  But it worked!

I hope you all have a wonderful week.  Oh, Brother Simon has a couple of questions so he will be here tomorrow to see if you can help him out with the answers.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Poor Dad trying to keep that silly Simon out of everything. Guess both Simon and the Dad were very busy this week end. There are a couple of cats around here that open the cabinets. You all have a great day.

Simon says give him time. Don’t let him watch the Dad too closely or he’ll figure out how to get around those proofings!!

hahaha it sure does annoy when it doesn’t work. When we moved and got heavier cupboard doors Orlin couldn’t open anymore either and got ticked off.

Mom had a cat once who would get into the kitchen trash during the night. She had to put baby locks on her cabinets too! I think Simon is so cute, but seriously a paw full!

Brian I think you gave you Dad excellent help in Simonizing the cabinet doors!

You are such a good helper, Brian! When I adopted Bear, just about everything changed. I’d never had a counter cruising cat before … he got into cabinets … chewed cords … stole anything left out. He even knows the knob on the front door is the way to get out (he whacks it repeatedly with his paw trying to get it open). Now, I don’t leave anything out … no food, no pens, no plugged in appliances … I child-proofed the cabinets and taped the cords to the walls … but of course, he always comes up with new… Read more »

We had to do the same thing, because one of our cats was constantly in the cabinets. Now we are startled awake every night by the sound of cupboard doors snapping closed with a load thunk, because the same cat won’y give up trying to open them. Thunk thunk thunk thunk all night…
