Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Our weekend was pretty good, but it’s never really uneventful with the newbies. My Sister Seal is pretty laid back, but boy my Brother Simon is pretty much into everything.
I’ve been helping the Dad lots by supervising the Simonproofing that has been going on. Why? Did you see the paws on that little dude? He knows how to use them too and can open just about any cabinet or any drawer. So, the Dad has slowly been putting Simonproof locks on all the cabinets and drawers. Dad put them on the cabinets and drawers in the big bathroom and they sure kept Simon out of where he isn’t suppose to be, and yes, it frustrated him. But it worked!
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Oh, Brother Simon has a couple of questions so he will be here tomorrow to see if you can help him out with the answers. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Simon is a very smart little guy – I bet all the Simon proof locks really made him crazy!
He can open anything? Wow! Beauty, brawn and brains – that boy has it all!
Poor Dad trying to keep that silly Simon out of everything. Guess both Simon and the Dad were very busy this week end. There are a couple of cats around here that open the cabinets. You all have a great day.
Simon says give him time. Don’t let him watch the Dad too closely or he’ll figure out how to get around those proofings!!
hahaha it sure does annoy when it doesn’t work. When we moved and got heavier cupboard doors Orlin couldn’t open anymore either and got ticked off.
Mom had a cat once who would get into the kitchen trash during the night. She had to put baby locks on her cabinets too! I think Simon is so cute, but seriously a paw full!
Smart cat. Have a great week.
Simon please come over tonight and open the drawer with the cookies…… I will share them with you of course :o)
A kitty who gets “into everything”? Imagine that! 🙂

Ha!!! It appears that Simon does just fine WITHOUT thumbs!!! MOL!
Good luck keeping Simon out of things he should not be in!
MOLMOL Simon is a perpetual 2 year old toddler!!
Too funny he is keeping the peeps hopping too.
Hugs madi your bfff
Brian I think you gave you Dad excellent help in Simonizing the cabinet doors!
You are such a good helper, Brian! When I adopted Bear, just about everything changed. I’d never had a counter cruising cat before … he got into cabinets … chewed cords … stole anything left out. He even knows the knob on the front door is the way to get out (he whacks it repeatedly with his paw trying to get it open). Now, I don’t leave anything out … no food, no pens, no plugged in appliances … I child-proofed the cabinets and taped the cords to the walls … but of course, he always comes up with new… Read more »
Simonproofing the house? Sounds like a lot of work! Good thing you’re there to supervise.
Uh oh, someone needs something to keep those paws busy, we think. Our brother Quint nods in agreement.
Your sisters are probably glad that Simon is working the cabinets, instead of chasing them!
I bet Eastside Cats have said a mouthful. Your sisters are glad of a break!
Wow that Simon has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Buster can open cabinet doors and room doors too.
We wish we could open doors and cabinets, especially the fridge and the cabinet doors where our treats are:) Simon must be very clever.

Sounds like Simon needs a hobby. Something like secret shopping. MOL!
Sounds like Simon is keeping you all busy.
Let’s see Simon! He sounds adorable!
Ha! That’s funny. Smart kitty Simon!
Those young kitties are just too smart. Bet they are tiring mom and dad out.
Sounds like Simon is keeping everyone on their toes!
Some cats just have to be into EVERYTHIN’! purrs
George is that way! He is into everything, all of the time! He is really a bit of a night time guy, too. Hugs.
We had to do the same thing, because one of our cats was constantly in the cabinets. Now we are startled awake every night by the sound of cupboard doors snapping closed with a load thunk, because the same cat won’y give up trying to open them. Thunk thunk thunk thunk all night…
Mama had a Siamese and Himalayan growing up that would tag team and open any and all doors/cabinets in da house. They had to kitty proof efurything.
Bell Fur Zoo
We bet that eliminates a lot of loud “bang-bang-BANNNGGG!” noises, too!
