Did you ever have one of those days where things seemed pretty normal but something was off and you just couldn’t put your paw on it? Yea, me too. My day like that was Tuesday. There I was, finishing a bright and early breakfast, seriously early, and the Dad seemed to be stalling and his normal routine didn’t seem very normal.
Then it happened. You guessed it, I was tucked into the PTU (Prisoner Transport Unit if you’re new) and into the car we went. We went, and went and went and I was, of course, voicing my concern the whole way. The drive to the Vet took us about 6 hours. The Dad said it’s a 30 minute ride, but hey, that’s 6 hours in cat years.
Why was I at the Cat Clinic of Greenville to see Dr. Anderson? I had a lump on my left shoulder that was growing. Yes, the peeps were worried but as it turns out it was just a cyst and all is okay. I was so good at the Vet place that they were able to remove it with a laser and I just laid there and let the good Doctor do her thing. It was sort of a waxy looking thing, but to me it looked like a Dust Bunny. It was bothering me a bit and now it’s not!
If you are new to our blog you might not know that Dr. Anderson is the one who treated me and got me healthy again when I was dumped in a bad part of town and had to eat bugs for a week. It was nice to see her, I like her lots, I just don’t like that car ride thing.
Have a fun Saturday everyone, see you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We are so glad everything turned out OK, Dolly!
We hear you on the ride. Our vet is 45 minutes away by cart, so that’s about a week in the car for us… And there is a rumour going around that two of us are due for boosters next week.
Enjoy the weekend!
Purrs,
The Chans
Oh Dolly, we are so so glad that it wasn’t anything bad in that lump. Great news. Those car rides to the vet are soooooooooooo long. You all have a great day.
We are so glad to hear that it was nothing serious! Paws up for vets you like and do a great job taking care of you…even if no one likes the car ride to get there.
I’m glad it wasn’t something more serious. I don’t do too bad in the car or the carrier, and traveling doesn’t seem to bother me. Happy weekend!
Glad it turned out alright. Enjoy your weekend.
Yeah, the car ride thing is the worst. Great news that it was just a cyst and now all is well.
Whew! So glad it is good news from the Vet!!!! We went Monday and got good bills of health too. I did give our Vet a WHAP when I got my shots this year though. We sang the Song of Our People the whole way (15 minutes boys) just for good measure.

Happy to read that it didn’t amount to anything – except a dreaded car ride. Now you can keep being your beautiful self, Dolly.
XOXO
Dolly, we are, of course, sorry you had to go see Dr. Anderson, but happy she was able to zap your cyst easy peasy. You are looking especially gorgeous today. You and Giulietta need to compare paws and toe tufts sometime. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Whew…Dolly 6 hours for sure the peeps are not clock literate!! My said 10 minute trip to the vet is at least 4 hours
Thank goodness all is well. You are a brave pretty girl
Hugs madi your bfff
I’m glad that was taken care of. This seems to be a case of “All’s well that ends well.”
Good news on that cyst that was bothering you – it’s GONE and you’re more comfy – it’s a good deal! My big brother Sammy didn’t like car rides and I’ve only been in a car twice but I think some of us only get in the car when we’re headed to the V-E-T and that’s why weren’t not too crazy about cars! Anyway, glad you’re OK – now you can have an EASY Saturday leading to an EASY Sunday!
Hugs, Teddy
Sister Dolly, you are truly the most beautiful girl mommy said she has seen (except me). You really are. What a gorgeous picture of you! I am sorry you had to go to the v-e-t BUT it’s always worth it. I hate those days in the car to get there too. Mom said it is about 5 minutes away., That is a good hour for me! xxx
I’m so relieved to hear that cyst was nothing awful, and that it’s not bothering you anymore, Dolly.
My cats are not into car rides either. So happy the lump was nothing serious, and you are able to get right back to your usual activities!
Oh Dolly, we’re so happy to hear good mews. We’re happy dat it was nuffin’ and now it’s gone and can’t bother you anymore. You were so brave. Me’s not sure we coulda been dat brave. Big hugs fur all.
Luv ya’

Dolly, we’re very glad that was just a cyst and that it’s gone. We’re only 2 kms from our vet clinic, but we sing the Song of Our People the entire trip. The PTU isn’t any fun at all.
Sister Dolly, thank COD you are ok!!!! Isn’t it funny when humans think they are tricking us, but they really aren’t? xoxo
We’re glad it was nothing serious, Dolly ! We wish you a quick recovery ! Purrs
We are so happy to hear that that cyst was easily dealt with Dolly 🙂
Good too, that you are back home.
Sadly we live a 10 minute walk from the Vet!
Julie went there today for her semi-annual check up.
Everything was good, though she still did not want to go there 😉
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
I am glad that cyst was easily removed and everything is ok.
Glad to hear it was just a cyst and easily removed.
We love to hear about easy fixes, Dolly. We’re glad yours was one, even if it did take a 12-hour round trip!
Great that everything turned out to be OK. Dolly, has your dad ever played a disc of birds singing when you’re in the car with him? It always calms down my kitty siblings when they have to take a car ride to the vet.
You are a very cute and brave girl Dolly. We are so sorry to hear you had such a rough start in life. We’re pretty thrilled you ended up with your family and hoomans though. It truly helps when you have wonderful vets to help your hoomans take care of you. We couldn’t be happier that lump was nothing but a bump and won’t be bothering you anymore. We hope you got a tasty meal for your troubles that afternoon.
Hi Dolly, I do remember reading about you and the bugs once before!
And I am so happy that the cyst on your shoulder was nothing serious.
Hugs and kisses to all of you!
Love Barb
I am glad you are OK.
Whew! Dolly! We’re glad to hear it was just a cyst and you’re okay.
Sorry you had to go to the vet, Dolly, but we sure are glad everything checked out and you’re good to go!
You and Yang are soulmates. He hates riding in the car desperately tries to get out of the carrier and screams at Mom the entire 15 minute ride. But he LOVES everyone at the vets and cuddles with them. Yin on the other hand enjoys the car ride and is a joy to transport, but turns into a hissy, bity, scratchy demon once they enter the vet doors.
Dolly we are very glad you are OK, that the thing wasn’t anything serious and that now it is gone and doesn’t bother you anymore.
I am so glad you are OK sweet girl…
We are so glad your lump turned out to just be a cyst, Sister Dolly, and the nasty thing is gone so it cannot bother you anymore! ♥
Dolly, I’m so glad she fixed you up like new. I bet the ride home seemed shorter.
Dolly, Chucky hates that ride in the PTU so much, that sometimes he go to the bathroom! Glad you are all better now…no more lump!
Phew…relieved that it was nothing seriously, Dolly and glad the vet could laser it away 🙂 I like to sing my best aria in the car 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 <3
