It’s no secret, we all love our pets. We are so fortunate to have such a loving and caring relationship with our nine kitties. They really do make our lives better in so many different ways. I know most of you have seen the countless pet shaming photos posted on social media during the past couple of years. We never participated in any of those, nor could we. It’s time we change that and heap praise on our pets and let’s honor them the way we should.
In honor of National Pet Month @Purina is inviting each of us to share our Pet Praising Pictures on www.pureloveforpets.com until May 24th. When you submit a #PetPraising photo you will also be entered into the Pet Praising Sweepstakes. That means you could possibly win a professional photo shoot and be featured on RealSimple.com.
Now then, let me take a few minutes to tell you about our very special Brian. Many of you know Brian from this blog and many of you are familiar with his kindness in many ways. Brian is everything he appears to be on his blog. His kindness has made it possible for us to be a multi-cat household.
Brian really does love his brother and sisters. As each new kitty came into our lives it was Brian who made them feel safe and secure. Brian welcomed each and every one of them with his kind demeanor. Brian is protective of each of them and will run to their aide if there is any sign of difficulty. If one is not feeling well, he is right there with them to provide comfort. Likewise, if the Mom or I are not well, Brian is right there with us. He will quickly give up his treats to his siblings if they ask. Brian’s special traits are wonderful and we appreciate him each and every single day.
What about your pets? Why not give them the shout out they truly deserve and enter a Pet Praising Photo of them on www.pureloveforpets.com and show them how much you appreciate all they do for you!
Remember, you have until May 24th to post your #PetPraising photo. Don’t let your pet down, show them how much they me to you.
Thank you Brian for just being you!
With love,
Dad Terry
What a great idea! We know that Brian is a sweet ManCat and this is a great way of showing it. Mom needs to do photos of us too!
The Florida Furkids
Brian reminds us so much of our dear Socks.
Scylla is lucky to have such a special mancat for her boyfriend.
Brian, you are one great brother to all you sisters and brother. This is a great idea. We will have to see about getting a photo. You all have a great day.
Way to go Brian! You are one great big brother…………GOOD LUCK !
Hugs, Teddy
Brian is one great cat indeed, Orlin is that way with dogs, but new cats, nope. Whack to the head lol
Brian is indeed an exceptional kitty…keep on keepin’ on, Brain!
I’m sure you are the bestest brother… and you welcomed seal and simon with open arms… or open paws ;o)
Aww, what a great idea! Thanks for letting us know about this campaign.
A lovely idea for a campaign!! We have to say your dear Brain sounds a lot like our sweet little Molly. Our Tabby Cat is rather elderly and has a bit of dementia. At times he gets confused and cries something fierce. Molly always runs to his aid. If we don’t move fast enough to see what’s wrong with her beloved Tabby Cat she comes and hurries us along.
Love the photo of you, Brian. You are kind and caring mancat!!
What a lovely, lovely post and you, Brian, are such a star! We are very happy to be your friends!
Purrs,
The Chans
Sweet Brian, we always knew you had a certain specialness to you. Thank you for being so caring to your Mom and Dad and to your brothers and sisters!
I think the #PetPraising idea is much, much better than the pet shaming thing. At one point, Sparkle wanted to do something about #HumanShaming, but that would have required her to post her human’s photo on the blog… and of course she is not allowed there! MOL
We don’t know a lot about cats and how they interact with each other. BUT we do know that Brian is one amazing kitty – full of love and kindness for others. He deserves that shout-out for sure.
Woos – Lightning and Misty
Beautiful post. Yes, our Maggie P. is the one who accepted each and every baby I feed, every kitten we nurture, each orphaned wild bunny, and every wild baby, and both dogs who joined us. Maggie friends them and loves them into finding their peace and place. Maggie is my partner. I love her for her big heart. xo
Brian you are such a gentleman with a great big kind heart. I love that photo of you
Hugs madi your bfff
Oh uncle Terry, this is such a sweet posty. We luv Brian and all of you so very much. Mommy says tabby cats are very special in a luvvin’ and acceptin’ way. She says it’s not all of ’em of course, but when you find dat special gem, you’ve found da pot o gold at da end of da rainbow. And Brian’s fur sure more than dat. Big hugs fur all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
I don’t like those pet shaming photos too. I am going to have to see if I can get Mazie to hold still long enough to do this since she is the “rock” of this household. Brian you are the best 🙂
We LOVE this. We never liked that pet shaming stuff either, we should definitely praise our pets for everything they do for us. Brian is a special boy. He reminds me so much of our late Don Juan, who welcomed everyone new into our household (even dogs!). ♥ you, Brian!!
Brian, you are so special. I love this picture of you. If this picture could speak, it would definitely say how kind you are and what a big heart you have. This is a wonderful post.
Such a good example, Brother Brian has set for those newbies.
We knew Brian was a very special boy, one of a kind!
Brian, você é um gatinho especial!
Cafunés para você, menino bonito!
I always knew Brian was extra special, and now I know why. It’s not every kitty that would be xo accepting of a new kitty coming to live in his house. And, I think he has good pawparents that know how to spread the love around so no one feels left out or jealous. We love all your kitties, but Brian is extra special in our book.
Aww Brian is the best <3
What a great idea! Purina is a real thoughtful company!
Brian is a special kitty…and handsome too 🙂 Pawkisses for a Special Day 🙂 <3
