Yes, it is Tabby Tuesday and I’m Simon your Doorman Cat reporting for duty. I don’t really know why, but laying right here by the front door seems to be one of my most favorite spots. It doesn’t matter the time of day either, more than likely this is where I’ll settle down. Maybe it’s because I can see most everything from here. If I look up over my right shoulder I can even see what Sister Precious is up too.
Oh, every once and a while I jump and run. Why? Some guy in brown comes up and leaves something on the front porch. At least he should call first instead of sneaking up on me like that. But at least he usually brings something good, like food, and fun, like boxes. Still, I sure jump and run when I hear the plop on the front porch.
Hey, speaking of fun, the Dad finally opened up that bag he brought back from BlogPaws. Brian tells me we’ll share some of the fun on Thursday. For now, have a fun Thursday everyone and I’ll see you later.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I can’t wait to see what your human brought back from BlogPaws!
Oh Simon, you do have the biggest eyes and the best fact we have seen in a long time. Glad that you keep a look out at the front door. You sure are quite the character. You all have a terrific day.
Meant to say ‘face’.
Simon, you reminded me of an old TV show, with Carlton the doorman !!!
Simon, what a great doorman/guard you are. And naturally you leave when you hear something! You are simply going to warn the others! Right? Right?
Oh and Simon, I am not convinced that is a huge Maine Coon cat outside that I am screeching at.
No intruder will get by you as you lounge away. Blogpaws swag may get you to move though for a bit.
you can claim a treat from all who want to enter that door… and you need such a chapeau claque thingy for all the treats , like the doorman of our howltel in pawris…
That’s a great “job” you have Simon! Doorman/Greeter……..I should think you would get some kind of salary for that…..extra treats? First grab of a new toy?
Love, Teddy
Parece um lugar divertido para ficar!
Cafunés para você, menino bonito!
I’m sure you are a first-rate doorman, Brother Simon!
We’ll be looking forward to seeing the Blogpaws stuff.
Oh Simon this made mom LOL
I bet your peeps remember the Bob Newhart show!
Their friend, I think he was Howard, had a famous line on there one episode that still cracks mom up…
He said he was “Norman the Morman Doorman”.
Hugs madi your bfff
Simon you are a very handsome door stop
Being the gate-keeper is an important job … some fearless mancat must do it, right? I love that you keep your humans and kitty siblings safe!
Simon it appears that you have picked the best spot in the house! Oh and along with your GIGANTIC tail, you appear to have GIGANTIC PAWS too! You are one HANDSOME dude!

Everyone has a favorite hang out spot I think. I like my front window, and my sisters like the landing on the stairs if they are not in their beds in mom’s office. You have a daunting task guarding the door!
Looking forward to hearing what was in the bag.
My dog likes to stay by the door too.
You are a cute little doorman, you need a hat though.
You’re a great doorman, Simon. Can’t wait to see what’s in the bag ! Purrs
What a really cute face! xo
Lightning likes to be the back door doormat, the door into the garage. Mom thinks that’s because he wants to see who is leaving and be the first to greet whoever returns. We can’t get to the front door because of that darn gate – that’s where all the fun guests come in:)
Woos – Misty and Lightning
You have found your job, how much fun is that?
Great job watching the door, Simon! We could all use a pawsome tabby watching our doors. I hope you enjoy all of the BlogPaws goodies. There were a lot this year! My kitties are thrilled with the swag they received.
Someone has to be the doorman cat, and how good of you to step up and take the job, Simon!
Simon I like to sit in front of the doors too. Mama thinks it’s cause I am hoping a lizard will slip in and I will get it 😉
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
Simon, we have learned that the sound of a big noisy truck can mean that dude in brown shorts might be coming to our door with a box so we get ready if we hear any loud truck (mol) and run when we hear the footsteps 🙂 Good job being the door monitor 🙂 we bet your dad brought you all a big bag of fun back from Blog Paws
purrs,
pip, smidgen, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
Simon, I like to take up my post at the coat closet door. I can see everything from there, too.
~Ivan.
Frodo loves sitting by the door too but likes to greet anyone who knocks!

Every house should have a door cat. U shall have to get a new one…
And I can’t wait to see what’s in the bag!
Love Barb
Simon, maybe your humans should put a bed there for you to make it even more comfortable. 🙂
Maybe you like that register on the floor that blows hot and cold. I’ve finally gotten used to the newspaper plopping down by the door while I eat breakfast.
At first I thought the title was “Tubby Tuesday” and I thought, no, you’re fluffy, not tubby. Then I read it again….Tabby! I’m glad you found a great resting spot, even if you are occasionally startled by the guy in brown.
Door-guarding is good. Though I tend to guard the computer room door when TBT is in there. ~ IZA
Simon, this is Tabby cat here. I’m not much for lying in front of the door, my favorite spot is where ever the Mom is. I mean right where Mom is. I’m so close sometimes she has to look before she stands up. Yups she hasn’t fallen or stepped on me yet but she and Dad are betting it’s going to be a part of our future.
Simon, Mom can’t stop looking at you. She says your big eyes and the expression on your face are hard to resist. It does sound as if you have found the purrfect spot to relax and keep and eye on things. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Caliista Jo and Cooper Murphy
