Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Pet Adoption and the Wisdom of Yoda

Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!
I know, I post a bit early to make sure some pals in other time zones see this post early.

May 4th has become known as Star Wars Day and today lots of humans will be saying May the 4th Be With You. Of course I would prefer to say May the Furs Be With You! I don’t know if you have seen the Star Wars movies or not, if you haven’t you’ll not know what the force it all about. Us kitties know all about the Force. Yes, we use the Force for good and we are not really known to venture to the Dark Side.

We’ve watched that movie a time or two with our peeps and I really liked that Yoda character. Today I’m thankful for the wisdom of Yoda and how it applies to Pet Adoption. When it comes to helping critters, from Yoda I’ve learned…

  • Yoda: Do or do not. There is no try.
Brian: This one should be self-explanatory.
  • Yoda: Named must your fear be before banish it you can.
Brian: Don’t think you can’t help with pet adoptions. What are you afraid of? Say it. Then do it anyways.
  • Yoda: If no mistake have you made, yet losing you are…a different game you should  play.
Brian: Can’t foster? Help at a shelter. Can’t help at a shelter, donate blankets and
    cleaning supplies. Get it?
  • Yoda: Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size do you?
Brian: If this little old kitty can do it then you can too.

I’m thankful to have helped lots of critters and I’m thankful to those of you who have helped me along the way. I shall do, there is no try!

What are you thankful for today?  Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Blog Hop Please.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

May the fur be with you too Brian! We are always thankful for our wonderful friends here in Blogville and we are thankful for Mom’s friend who stepped up and is fostering two adult kitties until their owner finds a new home where they can all be together again.

We are thankful for all the things you do to foster kitties or pet adoptions. We don’t think anyone works harder at this than you and your peeps. Thanks for posting early. It seems mornings are bad as the peeps are always having to go somewhere and can’t get to the thankful Thursday hop until later. Now M said she can relax aa little and enjoy reading everyone else’s post. Oh yes, M said the linking up went better this time. She’s getting senile in her old age and sometimes just makes stupid mistakes without knowing it. he he

That Yoda guy talks funny but I like your interpretations. My ancient peeps will always think of May 4th as the sad day of the Kent State massacre. Those 4 kids will never be able to adopt kitties.
