So what am I doing on Mancat Monday? I’m the designated lookout of course. Oh, I designed myself. When you’re the Main Mancat you can do things like that. Seriously, I can see most everything from up here. besides, when it comes to comfy the kitty cat cup has a lot going for it. I can see Brother Simon coming, I can see Brother Simon going, I can see Brother Simon running, you get the picture. I don’t remember if I mentioned this before, but you might remember that I like to retreat to the cube part of this tree sometimes. Well, Brother Simon found me and likes to tap me on the head through the little lookout hole. He pretty much giggles the hole time and I told him I am not a game of whack-a-mole.
I must admit, all of my sisters are handling the newbies pretty well and I’m actually very proud of them. The hissy party is over, for the most part, and a few of the sisters are really pleased that they discovered the Simon and Seal food bowls. I asked Sister Zoe what the big deal was and she said it was sort of like going out to eat. Hmmmmm, you know what? I think she’s right. I tried some of their food myself and it was pretty darn tasty. I think I’ll be going out to eat on somewhat of a regular basis. It’s okay, they can come out and eat our food if they like, we’ll share.
I can tell you this though, Sister Dolly and I are very happy to have access to the brushing perch back in the big bathroom. If we hit the perch and ask for some brushing the Mom or the Dad always oblige, and we appreciate it too. Oh, the big bathroom, that reminds me, wait until you see what Brother Simon did in there. It’s kind of a first for him.
See you soon! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
That high perch is pawsome for monitoring the household.
You can even catch a few zzz’s when all is quiet 😉
Hmmmmmm. Simon and the bathroom.
We wonder if toilet paper is involves 😉
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
That Simon sounds like a real pawful! But then, my human says I can still be a pawful sometimes too (only she calls it handful).
That Simon boy sure is entertaining for everyone. Every house should have one of those. Glad the sisters are getting a little used to him. Great place Brian, to keep your eye on that wild boy. You all have a great day.
Simon, you sure have livened up the place! Brother Brian will whap you back, I guarantee it! Glad the hissy pawty got over with….pretty much. xoxox
your brother simon knows funny games ;o) I’m with you , when you watch the things from above you get the best pawspective :o)
haha well maybe he’s just practicing his whack a mole skills on you. Never know when they’ll come in handy. Nothing wrong with going sorta out to eat too.
Simon is a character. We can just imagine him giggling while tapping your dad. Did Simon have an exercise workout with the TP? Going out to eat sounds like fun. We are switching bowls all the time to see if any kitty has something different. Misty May and Lily have KD canned food, and we will even eat that. Have a good week. I am glad you are all getting along so well. I hope my newbie will fit in here once I get him or her FELV/FIV tested.
Does being in the cat cup mean you are “above the fray”, so to speak? 🙂
The high view is always great isn’t it? Like being in a watchtower keeping watch over the kingdom!
Hugs, Teddy
You look kind of tired…too much spy work, perhaps? Have a nice nap in your perch!
mol! youngsters, eh Brian? we like the high ground too when there is crazy kitten action going on here. we hope that the Simon and Seal Restaurant doesn’t close or restrict service 😉 hmmm…we wonder what Simon has gotten up to now and hope you’ll tell us on Tabby Tuesday 🙂 purrs,

Sweet Brian we do believe you have the best seat in the house to watch the comings and goings of sweet Simon. That is a good place to convince him too that you are not a Wack A Mole game. lol We are glad the sisters are all getting used to the newbies and all is going well with all of you. We know you keep everyone under your watchful eye. We will be waiting to see what Brother Simon has done in the big bathroom. Hugs and nose kisses
Um…Brian? Do we really want to see what Simon did? You are a cat who is on top of the world!
YOU are the KING!!
I love your lookout, Brian!!! Brother Simon sounds like a character. I bet that you two have some fun together!
I like that you can “go out to eat” 🙂
I like to play whack-a-mole wif Matt from my perch…MOL MOL MOL him does not find it as funny as me!
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
É um ótimo lugar para observar o movimento, quero dizer, ver Simon de um lado para o outro. hihi
Cafunés para vocês!
That’s a great spot for snoopervising, Brian. Simon in the bathroom ? We wonder if he chose to climb the shower curtain or to shred the toilet paper… Purrs
Thanks for the report from up on the perch, Brian. I think you’ll find the “new restaurant” in town mighty good. The sisters have given it the thumbs up on Yelp. I’ll bet that Simon appointed himself Head TP Unroller or something.
That is the best spot to watch life as it goes by 🙂
Cats playing whack a mole, now that’s funny.
That looks like the prime spot right there, Brian! The oldest brother has to keep an eye on things, and you do a good job of reporting on it all as well!
Yep, when you are the Main Mancat and designated lookout a comfy the kitty cat cup is a must!
WAck-a-mole??? Sounds like something Misty might like to try:) We are so happy the newbies have blended in so well. We wish we had a special room where we go treat ourselves to eating out too:)
Woos – Lightning and Misty
Frodo and Zulu are still trying to figure out who the main mancat is!
You know Brian it sounds like a ‘happy efurr aftur’ story an wee are so-o happy that Brofur Simon an Sisfur Seal are fittin inn so well.

***nose bumps*** Siddhartha Henry xxxxxxxxx
I agree with you, Brian–the cat cup is the best seat in the house!
~Elliott.
Yeah, watchin from above is best. Thats why *I* like the tops of the almost ceiling high bookcases best. I can even look down of the highest cat tree platforms (like where IZA likes ta watch around from)! So I can even look down on the down-lookers~ AYLA
We’ve always known you were Top Cat!
The Florida Furkids
They all are putting on quite the show, aren’t they, Brian?
Always take the high ground!
Being up high is the best! I’m looking forward to learning what Simon did in the big bathroom.
Brian being a short stumpy little Dachshund (Mom’s words not mine) pfft who’s she callin short and stumpy? Anywayys getting back to your reply. There’s a lot to be said about looking down from above it all. I think I’d like that. Except I’d have to have Mom come and get me down. BOL
Of COURSE you’re not a game of whack-a-mole. Firstly, you’re not a mole and secondly, you’re not for whackin’. It’s no wonder you need a good look-out perch, for sure. PURRS.
Maybe when Simon taps you on the head he is playing tag? I don’t have any kitty siblings to play tag with, but I do play hide-n-seek with Mom. What is it like to have kitty sibs, Brian? I have a tree that looks just like yours! It’s great! Like you, I like to scope out the goings on from the top perch. When I’m up high I don’t get run over by the D-O-G when she gets goofy.
