Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Never Ending Entertainment Inside and Out

thankful thursday blog hop - Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Welcome to the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!  Right now I’m watching some of the inside entertainment and I’m not talking about the kind that appears on that TV thingy. No, I’m talking about the built in entertainment that happens every day around these parts. This recliner is a good seat to catch all of the action too, unless it gets a little too rowdy and then I might opt for a higher seat in the cat tree.

There is no end to the Brother Simon energy and he is still going right up to the gate to try and make friends with Sister Precious. Y’all can imagine how entertaining that is to watch. Simon is constantly discovering new toys whether they are actually toys or not. Just the other day he discovered his first inside bug, which happened to be way up on the ceiling. That poor boy was up on about everything trying to get that bug including many things he shouldn’t have been up on and was so informed by the Mom. Brother Simon has also tried to chase outside bugs that are on the outside of the sliding glass doors each night. Ouch, I can hear him as he bangs his head against the glass trying to get those bugs. Never a dull moment I tell you.

The outside world is still entertaining with a variety of feral kitties on the deck throughout the day, plus a good many different birds and the occasional chipmunk or two. Then there’s the ducks, geese and turtles that might happen by on their way to or from our lake. Oh, and there is always the mystery of exactly what are the neighbor dogs barking at now?

There is always something going on and that makes it hard to get in a good nap. Well, not really, we all manage to purrtake of a snoozy when the mood hits us. I’m thankful for all the fun things that keep us entertained! What are you thankful for today?  Come on and join us for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Brian, how do you get any sleep with all that going on. I’m thankful the roof guys haven’t been here for the past two days even though the fumes still are. I’m also thankful it’s getting a bit cooler and less humid.

24-7 entertainment … it sounds like Simon’s bringing lots of fun to your house, Brian!

Sounds like watching Simon is almost as much fun as watching bird t.v. I’ve never seen a turtle, but I can’t imagine they hold your attention for long. And after all that entertainment, you get to snooze on the recliner. You certainly do have a lot to be thankful for.

Even without all the outside entertainment, there would be lots going on with all the cats in your home.
Good thing Simon provides you with some fun 😉
Your Critter TV sounds good too.

There’s always one spot in a house that’s the BEST for keeping an eye on things right Brian? I’ve found mine too – halfway up the stairs on the landing – sooner or later EVERYTHING comes by me there! Happy Thankful Thursday!

What fantastic fun it must be to watch all of this, Brian. Brother Simon sounds like he sure knows how to have a good time. He sounds a lot like our Eddy. Oh, and inside bug time is the best! Thank you for hosting this fantastic hop!

Wow, Brian, what a busy and fun household! Simon is a fun loving guy. That bug must have been fun to watch. Plus, you have all those critters to watch from the window. That is a lot for which to be thankful. I bet a snoozy in that recliner is super comfy.

haha you just never know what mutts are barking at. Could be their own shadow. But entertainment sure abounds at your grounds. Good of Simon not to give up on making friends.

Simon sounds like a real handfull . . kind of like our Levon! “Real handfuls” can be a whole lot of entertaining for the rest of us though not to mention they keep the humans in their toes! ;p

That is some entertainment. A regular TV through the window, not to mention the goings on indoors. Poor Simon banging his head trying to get at those outside bugs.

Bugs always keep animals entertained. It’s fun to watch them react to the bugs and see what they’ll do.

Brother Simon must keep all of you smiling and chuckling with his silly kitty antics. And we think there must be a sign somewhere out there that directs all those feral kitties to your deck. You and your family are so good to tend to them so very well.

Brother Simon is fearless and I expect when he was feral he met some kitties that were way more crotchety than Sister Precious.

Scylla, Fenris, Tuiren, YinYang & Chimera (ATCAD)

Well we had a good bit of entertainment this morning when Scylla got your email saying you would be happy to go to the summer dance with her. She was running around purring her head off and acting like a kitten.

Tuiren and Fenris finally managed to show Mommy the rabbit they have been watching. We suspect the rabbit is why Chimera and Yang keep going outside the fence to check out the azaleas, as that is where the rabbit was hiding. Smelling things is a entire different level of excitement.

It’s fun to have kids in the house isn’t it Brian? Mom wants a kitten because Buster and I are not in that category anymore.

Simon sounds like quite the pistol, Brian! And about those barking dogs? Take it from us, they bark at NOTHING. We have two little yippy dogs next to us and when they’re out, they never shut up.
