My dear Alex, it’s so hard for me to believe that you’ve been at the Bridge for five years now, yet every single day I miss you so much. You were, and always will be, the best HusbandCat a girl could have.
So many times you come to me in my dreams and we’re snuggling and being happy just like old times. I know you are watching over me and making sure I do the things I need to do to remain healthy and happy. Maybe even together we’ll figure out what we need to do about my weight problem.
If I could spend just one more day with you in this world I’d be happy just to look at you and purr. The good times we had outweigh the sadness of your departure, but honestly, it still hurts my heart that you are at the Bridge. Even though I write you this letter each and every year I think about you every day, pretty much all day.
One day we’ll be together again and that will be a special occasion for both of us. I love you my dearest Alex, always. Until then, I’ll see you in my dreams and I watch your star shining brightly on every clear night.
All my love, forever and ever,
Your gal Gracie.
To those who are new to our blog, Alex was my HusbandCat and lived with his family and our dear friend Hilary from FeelingBeachie.com. Many of you new to our blog may have wondered about the Alex Heart in all of my photos. When Alex departed for the Bridge I told him his heart would always be with me and it is and always will be for the rest of my days. That’s the story of me and my precious Alex Heart.
