Hello all and welcome to Sister Saturday, let’s eat! Well, let’s just say that’s my way of saying that my diet isn’t progressing as well as the peeps would have hoped. Actually, truth be told I’ve gained a few ounces. But I’m okay with that, it’s just the peeps who have a problem with it.
I don’t know if you remember or not, but the Dad bought an automatic dry food dispenser that spits out a small amount of dry food on a schedule. That schedule is 8:00 in the morning and 5:00 in the evening. It only spits out ¼ of a cup and eight of us downstairs kitties get to share. We get our stinky goodness breakfast in the morning, in the evening for supper, and a wet food snack before bed. There’s also some stinky goodness left out at bedtime. Hey, there’s a lot of mouths to feed here.
Dad has tried portion control but if he isn’t quick enough I eat my portion and then scarf someone else’s portion if they leave a little. Some of us eat in different rooms so it is pretty easy for me to sneak to the next bowl if the Dad isn’t looking. What can I say, I love my food.
I know the Dad isn’t giving up, he just hasn’t figured out the right way to approach my weight loss yet. All I can say is, let’s eat!
Have a fun Saturday everyone and I’ll see you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
MOL, Gracie! We have to feed Binga in a crate so that Boodie doesn’t steal her food. But of course, I don’t think that would work for you guys – that would be a WHOLE lot of crates there!
Unfortunately for me I’m on a special diet as well. I’ve been forced to eat half a cup a day of dry kidney diet crap, but they teased me the other day with a small can of kidney diet chicken and veggie goodness, and I licked that bowl spotless. I’ve been very loudly telling them to give me more of that stuff!
Oh Gracie, we feel your pain. The Mom around here tries to keep LG and Tip Tail from eating too much and they just sneak around and eat whatever someone else has left. It is so hard for everyone to get what they should be getting with so many mouths that are hungry. You all have a great Saturday.
I’m with you Gracie! My supposed diet has been a bit of a failure too.
Purrs,
Tama-Chan
oh I love how smart you are when rthe foodbowl appears…. I would do that too :O) and all diets in our house end not as eggs-pected…
Sister Gracie, I am right there with you. I have become a bit fulsome about the waist area. They say pets look like their mommies…well……
2 meals a day? We would pawsitively perish…
Well, Iza would. She must eat a little at a time. TBT says we need 5 mousies a day, and that is how much we get each meal so that Iza doesnt overeat and return it. ~ MARLEY and AYLA.
We would thing dieting is hard with 9 kitties around 😮
We are convinced that other cat’s food is tastier 😉
Unless your Dad wants to follow you around until meals are over, iy looks like you can continue to get a few extra morsels.
MOL!
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Gracie, you are a beautiful ladycat; it’s just not polite to discuss your girth in public! Our Angel, however, is in the same boat as you; Chucky has become a picker, so there are always his leftovers for her to vacuum up.
Chow down. It’s his job to figure it out, you just want to make him work for it.
Sister Gracie you and our Mr Jinx share a love of food! You do look very lovely today.
Gracie, nós temos alguns gatos bem rápidos aqui, quando se trata de comida. Hihi
Cafunés para você , menina bonita!
Gracie, you look beautiful. I can only imagine how challenging it must be for your dad. There are only two kitties here and I have trouble keeping up. I’d like to do what you’re doing and have more canned than dry and see if that helps.
You could partner with my cat bro Bert. If Mom leaves the room for a second, he swoops in, pushes Sophie away and gulps down her food.
Gracie, you know how much you remind of us our late girl Miss Bones. She was just like you – sneaking into everyone else’s bowls to finish what they left! The best we could ever do was get her weight a little bit under control, it was always a struggle (we had multiple cats then too). The important thing is that your Dad keeps trying, and maybe one day he’ll hit on the one thing that works!
Our human often complains about our ever so often changing taste, but she’s grateful that we’re otherwise very easy-going. We’ve always food available as we like to eat small portions over the day. We have neither lost nor gained weight. Mom has thus decided that we can manage our own food behavior ourselves (and way better than her, hehe)
Gracie! I’m with you! Let’s eat!!!!!!
Haha, oh Gracie, sounds like the diet is really hard…for your dad 🙂 I hope he can find the best way to work your diet. But for now, let’s eat 🙂
Oh, Gracie, I would eat all the leftovers too… if I had them? Pawkisses for a Happy CaturDay?❤?
I say what joy is living if you can’t have what you enjoy. Eat up if that’s what you like. Many slightly plump cats live a long, HAPPY life.
That is OK, more of you to love 🙂
This is a great challenge of wills between you and your dad. Can’t wait to see who will win
Gracie! Your M.O. sounds like that of OUR Gracie! She likes to help Zoe eat her portion, too. YOur dad has a much trickier task, beacuse there are so many of you there. Even with just Zoe and Gracie, we sometimes get lulled into submission. Great selfie, sweet girl.
Dieting with many kitties is not easy ! You look beautiful, Gracie, are you sure it’s not only floof ? Purrs
You are a sneaky kitty, Sister Gracie! Maybe the phrase “sneaky kitty” is a redundancy. 🙂
If Dad Terry figures this out, Gracie, let us know. Cooper keeps growing and growing. We do not think you look as if you need to lose weight. You look furtabulous! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Gracie, you green-eyed beauty you, tell the peeps that you might be more diet motivated if they were put on a food dispenser for their food as well. Tee hee hee!
Ah Gracie, we luv you. Girl, you go. We’re all ’bout da eatin’. Mommy doesn’t leave food out fur us, but we sure wish she would. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Trying to keep you out of 8 other kitties’ food bowls is a huge challenge. Since you all get fed wet food and won’t Starve without your dry food, maybe one of those food toy dispenser things would help you all have to work for your dry food. If you’re Really hungry you’d persist in figuring out a way to get the food.
