Well, it’s Mancat Monday and I don’t mind telling you that this Mancat doesn’t feel too good. I’m having pee probllems again, yes, seriously, after 2 years of not having problems, the problem is bugging me again. The Medicine Man has increased the dosage of my meds a bit and I’ve also been getting SubQ fluids at home. The Dad is pretty good and doing the fluid thing so I really don’t mind it. I don’t like it mind you, but I don’t mind it either.
I think it might be the stress of three sick sisters that caused my problem. I do get stressed pretty easily. Sister Gracie seems to be doing some better, and I’m glad about that. Sister Precious seems to be doing pretty good with her new food and meds, so that’s also a plus.
Sister Sascha, on the other paw, isn’t doing good at all. You may remember that last Wednesday it was decided that she needed to see a specialty Dentist Vet. The referral was made. However, she could not get in to see the Dentist until tomorrow. She is in too much mouth pain to eat so from Wednesday until tomorrow is a long, long time, even longer in cat year time. Yes, that’s six days.
The Dad, with help from the Mom, have been feeding her via a syringe twice each day. Sister Sascha doesn’t like to be handled when she feels good so let’s just say she’s not happy about it. The Dad told her he didn’t care, she was having her meal. She has been getting almost the amount she normally eats at one sitting except it’s watered down and not in a bowl.
I’ll be okay, the Dad and Mom are taking good care of me. Please send purrs, prayers and power of the paw as Sister Sascha travels to the Dental Vet tomorrow mid-morning. We’re all really worried about that dear girl.
