Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Hurricane Irma Was Not Overly Nasty To Us

Thaop kful Thursday Blog Hop - Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!
Hello everyone and welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Every Thursday we take the opportunity to share things for which we are thankful. Whether we realize it or not, we do always have so many thanks we’re thankful for and we hope you’ll share yours with us as well.

So many have been impacted and devastated by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma but today I’m thankful that Hurricane Irma was not overly nasty to us. When Irma reached our neck of the woods she was a tropical storm. We had a good bit or rain and some steady winds of about 30 MPH. Before the storm arrived the Dad got the gutters cleaned out and outside furniture stowed away. We didn’t have any tree damage, nor did we lose power and we’re thankful for that too. There were hundreds of trees down in our area and close to 30,000 without power. The ferals, while wet, seemed to be okay too and a few of them took shelter in their feral house.

We do know how lucky we are and our purrs and prayers go out to so many who are having a difficult time right now. We are so happy that our blogging pals in Florida are doing okay, we’re thinking of you all.

What are you thankful for today? Tell me in the comments and join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Brian, good to hear that your family and house weathered the storm. I am thankful that my family and friends made it through too, although some in Georgia are w/o power. And I am thankful for national and local rescuers who are driving to damaged areas to help the animals.

I’m thankful that Irma wasn’t nearly as bad as predicted by the time it hit the U.S. Damage elsewhere is catastrophic.

Glad Irma was not so nasty to you and feral kitties seem OK, too. We lost power for about 40 hours but we are luckier ones. There are still so many needing help. I hope they everyone can resume their normal life quickly!

I am glad the hurricane was not as devastating as feared by the time it reached you, and that the ferals stayed safe.
