Hello everyone, yes, it’s me and I’m here to give you a first paw update for Sister Saturday. First I want to thank each of you for sending me so many well wishes, I can tell you I feel them coming my way. I had another Internal Medicine visit yesterday and I guess you could say all is status quo. I’m trying really hard to get to status go.
So what do I mean by that? Well, my white cell count is slightly under 7,000. That might be okay under normal circumstances but given my problems the Vet would like it to be higher. So, she has changed up my medicines, removed one, added another and decreased the dosage on one other. I’ll go back for some more blood work next Friday. We need to get the numbers right so I can get my dental issues fixed.
Oh, one other thing, and if I told you this already, sorry. I had a bone marrow biopsy and four different leukemia tests on the marrow. The first three were negative and we were waiting for the results of the fourth, a specialized test, and those results came back negative as well.
I’ve been eating fairly well and the Dad has been feeding me some high protein food just to make sure I’m getting all of the nutrients I need. Litter box habits have been A-O-K and although I’m a wee bit fussy, I’ve been taking all of my meds all of the time. I’m enjoying my quiet time in the big bedroom and I’m very glad to hear that Sister Seal is doing great out n’ about with the others.
That’s it for me today, but if anything changes the Dad will surely let you know. Thanks for coming by, but you’ll have to come back tomorrow because it’s a special day for a couple of kitties tomorrow. See you soon.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Thanks for giving us the update, Sascha. I’ll keep sending purrs your way.
We are so happy about this news! We have been purring and praying for you. Love you bunches! <3
Sascha, here’s hoping that the vet gets to the bottom of your wonky white blood cell count, and you receive all the dental care needed, and then you can be released from solitary confinement. Am sending you a big smooch ? on your forehead!
Status quo is pretty good, Sascha, but we’re sure hoping and praying for status go soon. Sending our love, sending Light.
Oh Sascha, it is so good to see you and hear that you are doing all right. Sounds like you are getting mighty fine care from the Mom and Dad and that nice vet. We sure all have our paws crossed for you and hope you continue to get better. You all have a great day and thanks for the update on Sascha.
Sascha, you have been such a trouper to go through all of that and not a word of complaint! (We know all about biopsies and they’re awful). Anyway, you’re looking good, little lady and we hope things will work out for you in every way possible. Sending hugs and nosetaps – Chopin and Bridgie and Mom Julie xoxox
Glad to hear all tests came back negative, Sascha, and we’ll keep our paws crossed for you. How’re things down in your neck of the woods these days? Hope your health continues in the right direction!
Great that everything came back negative. Hopefully the status quo remains and then you can get the teeth dealt with.
Focus on the good, some of the big things have been ruled out. Hopefully being pampered at home will help you out.
Sending purrs and prayers.

Thanks for the update Sacha. Hope that 4th test comes back as good as 1st 3.Daisy Mae and I will be thinking of you Sacha.
Well, status quo is better than status NO, and we agree, let’s get to status go. All in due time. We sure hope the medication switcharound will be just what you need. Great news on the fourth test. Maybe it is a bit of a Catch-22 with your teeth problems causing the white blood count to be off.
