It’s Tabby Tuesday and Brother Brian told me I needed to tell all y’all Happy Halloween, then he ran and hid. Seriously? What’s up with that??? It’s supposed to be some kind of a holiday, but Brother Brian said we don’t celebrate it any more.
I guess it’s sort of a ghost story, or purrhaps I should say and alien story. Brother Brian told me things went wrong a couple of years ago. Brother Brian says he really used to like this holiday and would sit up on the steps and watch the little ones come to the door for candy. Then one Halloween night he was sitting on the steps and a great silver alien came walking up our sidewalk. A chill went all the way down Brian’s spine, he took off and wouldn’t come out from under the bed until the next day when the daylight hours showed up.
I don’t get it, but to this day when someone comes to the door Brother Brian assumes it’s the alien coming back and off he goes, except there is not an under the bed any more. So, I don’t guess there won’t be any Halloween for me, but I might seek out some treats anyways.
Oh, I do hear that we celebrate Thanksgiving with a really big bird and Christmas with a really big tree. WOW! A big tree INSIDE the house? Sounds like some fun times coming up.
Have a fun Tuesday everyone and I’ll be seeing you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
There is allus SOMETHING that even a brave cat isnt prepared ta see!
Brian and the Silver Alien (?) Definitely not a bedtime story!
PS We are trying to sort out the commenting but as Mum comes home from work and almost immediately collapses into bed it may take a while.
Aww, what a bummer that the alien ruined Halloween for Brian. We don’t do Halloween here – my human keeps the house dark – so I really am not sure what all the excitement is about.
Lots to look forward to, Simon!
We don’t celebrate Halloween here, but we hear it can be pretty scary…
Those aliens have a shine that are scary indeed. You’ll have lots of fun running up the tree.
We don’t do much for Halloween either. You are going to love that tree at Christmas time Simon. See if you can climb it. Poor Brian. You all have a great day.
Happy Halloween from all of us to all of you!
that silver alien sounds scary… I would hide too… and I agree with you… better no howl-o-ween than this giant alien…
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh for sure an alien and that silver caught the glow of the moon I would have hidden too
hugs madi your bfff
Happy Halloween to y’all! This is the first time TW is doing trick or treat since she thought I ran away. She’s kinda scared.
Hey … being abducted by aliens is a real thing! Why do I get the feeling that Simon might have some fun Holiday “adventures?!”
Simon, be glad you don’t celebrate it. Not a good holiday for cats or black cats. Just because you don’t celebrate Halloween doesn’t mean you can’t have lots of treats. HAPPY MEOWLEEN or as humans say HAPPY HALLOOWEEN.
Simon, I can just imagine Brian’s pupils dilating, the fur on his back and tail puffing out, and he beat feet to find a good hiding spot! Just like me when I think about moving…
We don’t celebrate Halloween either. The crew around here gets too wound up when strangers come to the door! Have a nice and quiet Halloween, Simon, that’s how we like it here!
poor brother Brian!! That silver alien sounded super “skerry!” No wonder he hid! Oh Brother Simon, you could trick or treat as one GIANT TAIL!!!!!! MOL!! (you know we love you to pieces and we are just kidding!) Happy Halloween! xoxoxo
Hi, Simon! Yes, there’s a lot to look forward to at your house. Hopefully, today there will just be treats for all!

Hey Simon. We don’t celebrate this halloween either. I’s never heard of it till this year. So sorry ’bout your brofur’s alien fear. But, we kitties seem to get an idea in our heads and it just doesn’t go away. You’re lookin’ wuite handsum. Big hugs fur all.
Raena and Dezi
Simon, you are such a cutie! 🙂
Brian, we are sorry you were spooked by the Silver Alien. . . we would have been too!
the critters in the cottage xo
We will keep a lookout for those aliens, Simon, and make sure they stay away from your door. So many holidays, so many things for us young ones to learn about.
Happy Howloween Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Aliens??? We will have to keep our eyes open!!
Arty, Jakey & Rosy
Have a quiet Halloween ! Purrs
We love everything about Halloween except the actual night itself. It is so irritating with the door ringing every two seconds. We will go away or upstairs to avoid the chaos I think.
We don’t celebrate Halloween either. You will have lots of fun with the tree. Flynn used to love when it came out. I lost count of the times Eric pulled it over trying to climb up it when he was young.
Happy Halloween to you, Simon.
We remember when Brother Brian use to sit on those steps! We are so sorry he got spooked! We get very few trick or treaters here in our building, but when we do, Laila goes a running for under the bed.
Oh dear, Simon! We would hide too!! Stay safe!
I love it! Simon and George have the coolest expressions and such looks of surprise! XO
Happy Halloween! Hope you get lots of treats.
Simon, it’s fun seeing you experience all these things for the first time. Happy Meowloween!
Happy Howloween, Simon! your post got us thinking that except for pip, none of us here really get what it is. mostly our mom rushes to eat and feed us and then we all snuggle down in the back bedroom and watch silly movies. meanwhile the rest of the house is dark…
pip, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
Mee-you mee iss glad mee not cellybrate this hollyday…it iss berry scarey an mee wood not like peepull at thee door one aftur thee other….that iss one good fing about livin inn an apartmint. LadyMum was nevurr alloud to trickytreet so thee idea scares her all so.
Anyway yur lookin fine Brofur Simon an mee send reegardss to Brofur Brian!
**nose bumpsss** Siddhartha Henry =^,.^=
Happy Howl-ween! We understand about Brian, Nellie was not fond of Howl-ween either. With her, it was a big kid hitting the window right where she was watching the children coming to the door.
We hope you have a trauma free night!
We are with Brian. We don’t like to take any chances with shiny freaks coming to the door either.
Those aliens are crazy, Simon and Brian. Be sure to stay away from the door, okay?
BOO…we don’t celebrate Halloween either, Simon, but we love to participate with the atmosphere…BOO… Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3
Simon, you look as if you saw that same alien. Pretty scary. Cooper Murphy had his first Halloween with us. We don’t know if he had one before, but he kept watch on anyone who came to the door. Mom tries to get to the door before the kids ring the bell. She doesn’t like the sound anymore than we do. Hope you all got some extra treats. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Aliens?! Eek! I think I’d run & hide, too. Thank goodness I haven’t seen any of those around these parts at All Hallows Eve, ’cause that would sure put a spoil on things. Simon, you are a good brofur to Brian to express hiss All Hallows Eve wishes to everypawdy! I hope you all got some splendid treats! Mew Mew!
What big enormous eyes you have, Simon! We don’t get Trick or Treaters here because of our very long driveway. It’s just as well, because Mickey Mouser has a problem with the scary sound of the doorbell…
There are more exciting Holidays coming up, for sure!
hello simon its dennis the vizsla dog hay happy belayted howloween to yoo too!!! i kan only imadjin wot had showd up at the door wen yore eyes buggd owt like that!!! ok bye
