Yes, it’s Tabby Tuesday with me, Simon, and I’m still trying to figure out why the Mom and the Dad are giggling at me. I’m just enjoying some time up in the cat tree. I’m in the cuddle cup on the next to highest level and I was sort of minding my own business. Then the Mom came over with the flashy box and, well, you can see what happened.
Guess what else. I also spend time on the next level up, which is the tippy top of the cat tree. The Dad tells me that nobody else ever goes up that high, so that makes it purrfect for me. I did hear the No Simon thing while I was up in the tippy top though. Why? It turns out that I can stand up on my hind legs and reach the ceiling. We have what’s called a popcorn ceiling, but it doesn’t smell like popcorn. The fun part is when I use the ceiling like a scratching post that white popcorn stuff falls down. Let’s just say that the Mom and the Dad were not impressed. But they were glad the ceiling wasn’t falling apart like they initially thought.
So, that’s pretty much my No Simon Tabby Tuesday. I hope you all have a fun day and avoid that “NO” word. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
What a happy silly face he’s making.
Wow, how could that you can reach the ceiling, Simon! There’s no popcorn at our house, but there are beams. When we first moved in, Binga jumped on one – I don’t know how my human got her down, but apparently she did.
OHMYCAT the ceiling!!!!?!?!?!?!
Dude this is SO not a good idea! Really. Falling from that height will probably get you weeks in detention and No Treats!!!! (and a trip to the v.e.t.)
Well Simon, you succeeded and made us smile 🙂
As for the ceiling, we say leave it alone.
You may get stuff in your eyes and then have to go to the Vet :/
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Oh Simon you silly boy – looks like a lot of fun up there in the tippity toppity of the tree! Pulling down the ceiling though is not a good thing – trust me. You may find that “TOP SPOT” off limits if you can’t manage to resist the popcorn.
Love, Teddy
Oh yes, Simon, you did make us laugh out loud. That sounds like such fun scratching the ceiling. Believe me if we could reach, we sure would give it a try. I bet your Mom and Dad are totally scratching their heads about you and all your antics. You all have a great Tuesday.
You always make me smile Simon 🙂
It worked for us, we are all smiling!! Now…to avoid the no word may be a bit more difficult for us!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
You did your job, Simon!
We are very impressed with your being able to touch the ceiling, too. Our highest spot is the top of the refrigerator but we never thought about the ceiling. We only pet Mom on the head as she walks by (just to get her startled reaction!).
lol we would totally pitch in and help you with the ceiling thing, that sounds like fun to scratch away.
Simon, your mom caught a wonderful photo of you…your purrsonality shines! And as if ‘no!’ is gonna stop you…hah!
I have a sister that hears that word, “no”, quite often too, but she is also amusing like you. Better leave the ceiling as is, and find something else to paw around on.
Awwww Simon, what a delightful photo of you!
What a fun making popcorn – or maybe it could look like snow falling! You can have white Christmas indoors! And I’m glad the ceiling is not falling apart 🙂
Is that what that white stuff is on the ceiling…why we can reach ours too Brother Simon….well you’ve just given us ideas, But we’ll wait until after Christmas to start, of course we want Santa to think we’re all good kittens.
mission completed… we all smile ;o))) and wow that is very brave to climb on tha summit of the cat tree… you are top cat now, right?
We have the popcorn ceilings too … thank goodness neither cat has shown interest in scratching them. Very … CREATIVE, Simon! I can only imagine the view!

You always make us smile, Brother Simon. But that uppermost level might get closed off if you don’t leave the popcorn ceiling alone:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You boys are always up to something! But, we love you guys! ❤
Cute raspberry, Simon, you made us smile ! Purrs
Boy Simon, my other favorite brother has one of those ceilings too. He could use your assistance if you are of a mind.
Oh, Simon, you did make us smile, and aren’t you a clever one? We used to have those darn popcorn ceilings in our old house, and did not like them. None of the cats ever used them as scratchers though, that would have been just another reason not to!! 🙂
Simon, you are a funny boy. You gave me a great big smile today.
You cats can touch the ceiling? That is very impressive. A tip of the tail to you.
Wow, Simon, did you make it snow inside your home? I don’t know much about snow being a Florida dog, but I heard about avalanches. So, be careful, or the ceiling might come falling down.
What a wonderful photo! You always make us smile Simon . ..you are such a cutiepie 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
We see what your reaction to No Simon is!
Simon, you look very silly! Wow, your perch is so tall you can reach the ceiling? That’s fantastic. But you might want to leave the popcorn up there.
Simon, thanks for making us smile today!
We have one of those popcorn ceilings, too. Brulee loves to get on top of the cat tree and play with the curtains and rod. The tree isn’t quite tall enough to reach the ceiling.
Simon, you made it snow in your house? Wow, that tippy top must be really high!
Hugs to you and your family!
Now that’s a smile, Simon, and you let us smile too, Simon *sticks tongue out* Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3
MOL! I’m not only smiling, I’m giggling, too! We have one of those tippy top things, too! Sophie likes to claim it. We got all that popcorn scraped off the ceiling though, so she can’t make it rain. But I’m sure she would if she could.
Simon, thanks for making me smile. You see I’m recovering from a bad cold and needed a smile. So thanks.
I’m not gonna laugh at you, Simon. I never heard of a popcorn ceiling but it must be fun if you can make the “sky fall.” When I was your age, I wanted nothing more but to touch the ceiling in our condo but they’re about 16-ft tall and we don’t have any furniture nearly as tall.
